ColourPop Cafe de Paris & Cherry Liqueur Fresh Kiss Lip Lacquers Reviews & Swatches
Café de Paris
ColourPop Café de Paris Fresh Kiss Lip Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a deep burgundy with strong, cool undertones–leaning pinker rather than browner–with a glossy, cream finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff in a single layer, which did not apply as evenly as desired. It seemed less even on my bottom lip than the top lip, but I think that could have just been an illusion based on lighting/angle.
The texture was smooth, spreadable, and creamy without tackiness, so it felt like others in the range, but it just didn’t have the evenness desired. I’d use a lip liner underneath it, which should help with the unevenness of the gloss. On the upside, it wasn’t streaky and didn’t settle into my lip lines noticeably, so it gave the illusion of smoother, plumper-looking lips. It wore well for five hours and looked more even after two hours of wear, while the formula was incredibly hydrating to wear.

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.21 oz. - $47.62 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have the "pigment of a liquid lipstick" paired with the "shine of a super gloss" that is also hydrating and "ultra-creamy" with "high colour saturation." They were pigmented--typically semi-opaque to opaque--with a smooth, creamy consistency that was lightweight, non-sticky, and spreadable.
If anything, I found they were a little thicker and/or too much product was dispensed on one pull of the doe-foot applicator (so wipe off excess or try to use just one side for getting coverage) as there was a fine line between a good application (mostly even) and a less-stellar application that had some streaking.
I found that they were smoothing of my lip lines, especially as it wore down, and my lips looked hydrated, fuller, and smoother. Most shades lasted around four hours with some lingering color and shine with an even fade/wear down. The formula was comfortable to wear and very hydrating, and it gave me the feeling of a lipgloss/lip balm hybrid more so than a lipstick/lipgloss hybrid.
They were vanilla-scented but has no discernible taste.

Cherry Liqueur
ColourPop Cherry Liqueur Fresh Kiss Lip Lacquer ($8.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a darker, reddish-brown with moderate, warm undertones and a glossy, cream finish. The texture was lightweight, smooth, and creamy without being overly thick and had no tackiness. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly, but this shade was prone to settling into my lip lines, which I did not find as prevalent in other shades. It wore well for four hours and was moisturizing over time.

I love all of these so much!! I wish they were at Ulta.
These two look just too patchy and uneven for my taste. True, I could just lay down a coat of lip liner to make them look presentable, but even then, masks and dark gloss spells disaster!
Both of these shades are really pretty and would make beautiful Christmas day lips. I am heavily duped and so is my daughter, who loves these types of deep lip colors. I am going to pass just because i have others that perform better.
Cherry Liqueur is a gorgeous shade, but it would have been nicer if the formula was as good as Cafe de Paris.
