ColourPop Between the Sheets Super Shock Cheek Review, Photos, Swatches
ColourPop Between the Sheets Super Shock Cheek
ColourPop Between the Sheets Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “mid-tone beige pink in a matte finish.” It’s a muted, pink-coral-brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It’s lighter and pinker than a peach-brown, but it’s so muted, that it doesn’t read coral either. Tarte Fame (LE, $26.00) is brighter, warmer, powder. ColourPop Quarters (P, $8.00) is darker. Chanel Jersey (80) (P, $45.00) is browner, powder. Surratt Beauty Parfait (P, $32.00) is more shimmery, powder. Illamasqua Flirtatious (LE, $26.00) is similar. Make Up For Ever #215 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is pinker, lighter. bareMinerals Swoon (LE, $19.00) is powder. MAC Melba (P, $21.00) is powder. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
The Super Shock Cheek formula has buildable coverage that ranges from light-medium to fully opaque, depending on your choice of application. According to the brand, fingertips will yield the greatest amount of coverage, which holds true, and then using a duo fiber brush (often the go-to for a cream-based blush) will have the sheerest coverage, which also holds true. I really love how consistent the formula has been for me: the pigmentation is exactly as described, and the wear is excellent at ten hours. The texture is lightweight, like a cream-powder hybrid with some give that you’d expect in a cream, but it lacks the slip and shine of the average cream blush formula. It tends to feel and act more like a powder product once you apply it to the skin. I think there’s a bit of a learning curve when working with these, but once you figure out the best method for you, they become really easy to use.

I really like how this looks on you! It’s very soft and natural looking. I’m loving that eye look too!
Thank you, Fancie! 🙂
Blush looks beautiful on you Christine. I have to say I am intrigued about this brand. I currently don’t own any of their products but it’s obvious I am missing out. I appreciate your reviews.
Thank you, Beto!
I’ve been really impressed by ColourPop’s products overall. Not every product is A++++ but many are As. The key (to me) is whether you like that part cream, part power texture – it’s almost clay-like, as you can press and manipulate it into a shape, like clay. If you’ve tried any of these formulas, the feel is comparable: MAC Electric Cool, Chanel Illusion d’Ombre, Buxom Stay There, Dior Diorshow Fusion Ombre.
I really want to try this brand! Maybe when the Canadian dollar isn’t doing so poorly 🙁
Awww!
Such a pretty color, goes well with the lipstick!
It is a gorgeous shade!
Does anyone know how this compares to benefit Dallas? Dallas is one of my go to shades, but it’s not in the swatch gallery 🙁
I think Dallas is a little more plum?
This will be my first ColourPop purchase, love this color.
Hope you enjoy it, Gilbert 😀
Super pretty! Cute name too, I totally wanna get in bed with this one 😉
Haha!
I considered this but I’m glad I didn’t buy it. It’s way too warm for me. Looks very natural on you though.
Thanks, Ginny! 🙂 It is warmer than I thought it would be.
On my list!
Woohoo!
This one is my absolute favorite for everyday, it goes with everything! 🙂
I can totally see it being really versatile!
such a good color! I can see myself wearing it quite often! it’ll work with so many different eye and lip looks! I haven’t tried any color pop products because I did quite a large haul during sephora vib sale ….hmmmmm…..
I love a good neutral blush!
Me too! Unique crazy colours are beautiful, but not what I reach for 😉
Ugh..love it! I wish they had free shipping ! I would be ordering every day, lol. This one’s going on the list.
LOL! I’m just glad it’s $30 instead of $50 for now.
Me too! For now..Oh..I hope they don’t raise it. However, I usually hit at least the $50 Mark because I can’t decide. Now..they go and add highlighters! Oh my goodness..I love the one from in “the bloom” sat . I can’t wait to get more!
This is in my cart, right now. I think! They are WAY too addictive! 😛
YAYYY! 🙂
Wow I’m loving this colour! It seems unique and subtle. This one has been on my wish list for a while, I’m glad it performed well! And you can’t beat the price!!
Finding GOOD blush at a budget price is tough!
Your eyes are gorgeous!
I adore colourpop blushes so many of them are dupes of highend blushes that are on my want list. i can’t wait to get my order for thier new highlighters, hopefully there will be more highend dupes. Have you ordered any yet? i hope you are able to review them.
I did order! Haven’t seen a shipping notice yet, though 🙂
Lol! I ordered on 4/28 and finally today it says completed but i don’t think that means it has really shipped. I guess they means my box is packed?
Usually I’ll get a notice that it was packed up with a tracking number, which means it is ready to go and just waiting for USPS to pick it up and get it into the distribution system 🙂
lol is it weird that i thought this was an eyeshadow at first and i was so excited i finally saw a rosy toned matte shadow. do you think it could work for that event though its a blush?
It could, just beware that it may not be eye safe! 🙂
Such a natural color for blush! So flattering. Also love your lip color, Christine—can you share what it is?
On face: Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation, Urban Decay Naked Loose Setting Powder. On eyes: ColourPop Flux, Beauty Call, Taco, Snapdragon, Truth Super Shock Shadows; L’Oreal True Teal Eyeliner. On lips: Bite Beauty Pecan Lipstick (I think!).
Very pretty. It reads a lot cooler in the pan. I thought it would be more pinkish brown, but it’s peachy.
It is warmer than I expected!
This looks so good on your skintone! It also goes really well with your eyelook 🙂 For my european gals: I think Sleek blush in Suede might be similar to this!
Thank you, Floortje!
Very pretty! I love it!
It’s a great neutral blush!
So pretty!! How does it compare with stila peony, colour wise? Xx
I don’t think I have that, Lily! 🙁
This blush is in the mail on its way to me right now. I’m excited to see your swatches–it makes me even more convinced that I’m going to love it!
Woohoo!!
Amazing! Another dynamic look! I’m off to view all swatches here now! I’m so happy you take the time to do this. It’s a wonderful tool for everyone! 🙂 Now to find dupes! 😀 Goodnight, God Bless. <3
Thank you, Lotus! 🙂
I placed my second order with Colourpop day before yesterday. And thanks to this review and the swatches, this blush was the first item to go in my cart. I’ve been looking for a muted, really versatile blush shade in a good formula for SO long, and I think this might be it!
Fingers crossed, Stacy!
