ColourPop Acorn Super Shock Shadow
ColourPop Acorn Super Shock Shadow

ColourPop Acorn Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “light cool-toned beige with subtle flashes of silver and gold in a pearlized finish.” It’s a light pinky-beige with cool undertones and a silver sheen. It had good pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly while remaining blendable. The product was long-wearing and wore for ten hours without fading or creasing. Guerlain Les Tendres #1 (LE) is pinker, powder. Chanel Seduction #2 (LE) is similar, powder. MAC Smoked Cocoa #1 (LE, $16.00) is similar, powder. MAC Star Crystal (LE, $32.50) is darker, powder. Chanel Raffinement #2 (P) is darker, powder. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

ColourPop Hanky Panky Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “soft cool toned taupe with a matte finish.” It’s a light-medium brown with warm, peachy undertones and a satin-matte finish. It had excellent color payoff with a soft, velvety texture that was fairly blendable on the skin. The color stayed on well for ten hours. Hourglass Infinity #2 (P) is more matte, powder. Tarte Force of Nature (LE) is powder. LORAC Dusty Rose (LE) is darker, cooler-toned, powder. Makeup Geek Barcelona Beach (P, $5.99) is darker, cooler-toned, powder. LORAC Lt. Brown (P) is darker, powder. Tarte View from the Taupe (LE) is a powder.Too Faced Cookie Dough (LE, $16.00) is a powder. MAC Kid (P, $16.00) is a powder. ColourPop Downtown Super Shock Pressed Pigment ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “deep cool-toned taupe in a matte finish.” It’s a dark, cool-toned taupe brown with more khaki-like undertones and a matte finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, velvety texture that blended well when I applied to the eye. On me, the color didn’t crease or fade over a ten-hour period. Hourglass Atmosphere #5 (P) is darker, powder. Giorgio Armani #08 (P, $32.00) is darker, powder. MAC Lofty (LE, $16.00) is a powder. MAC Persuade (LE, $16.00) is slightly darker, powder. MAC Ashbury (LE, $16.00) is a powder. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

I have Hanky Panky and it’s nice, couldn’t be easier to apply (fingers). It pulls a bit warm on me (very fair) so to diffuse the grungy look (if I want) I lightly tap I <3 This or Get Lucky over it. It's great for the crease, though, no frills.

I’ve been eyeing Downtown, will add to my ColourPop buy list (which keeps getting longer and longer), think it will make a nice brown smoky eye. And I think Hanky Panky might make a good crease or transition shade

They really do! I have a lot of the brights, Fantasy and Slave 2 Pink are definitely amazing. I think I have 12+ shadows right now (with more on the way) and not one of them is bad.

With my eye shape, normal powder shadows like to migrate and muddle together. That doesn’t happen with these shadows and they really stay put!

hello christine!

how about the texture of colourpop matte eyeshadow? is it exactly the same like the one in shimmer & pearlized finish? or do they easier to blend with brush?
thank you 🙂

I see Hanky Panky as a great warm transition shade for fair complexions. Despite having Barcelona Beach and MAC Kid, I’m really gonna try it, because it’s is a cream, friendly, long-wear option, and one of the shades I use the most.

Oh fun! More awesome colors to put on my Colourpop to buy list. I love this brand so much, for so many reasons–color selection. formula and price–and I’m forever grateful to you for putting it on my radar. I had a few minutes this morning and I just put a little So Quiche on my eyelid and blended it out into the crease with my fingers. I didn’t use primer and ten hours and one plane ride later it still hasn’t creased on my oily eyelids.

Yay, more Colourpop swatches = my vanity keeps growing. Signnn. I depend on you for these to make purchase. Thank you! The pattern of these eyeshadows kinda grosses me out though. It’s like full of holes. >.<
