Coloured Raine Wealthy Chic Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
Wealthy Chic
Coloured Raine Wealthy Chic 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palette ($16.00 for 0.42 oz.) included two shimmer shades, which were more emollient and thicker compared to the four matte shadows included in the palette. The matte formula was mostly a miss in the palette as the shades were drier, thinner, and powdery, which made it hard to build them out and not all of them blended out well.

Formula Overview
$6.99/0.064 oz. - $109.22 Per Ounce
2022 Formula: The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" and "blendable" with a "butterly smooth" feel. The majority of the matte eyeshadows were quite pigmented, while some of the shimmers were overly emollient, which resulted in sheerer and/or uneven coverage.
The matte eyeshadows have a bit of dryness to them, though they were pigmented and fairly blendable, but they tended to apply best over an eyeshadow primer, which ensured a better base for them to adhere to. The shimmer eyeshadows were best applied with fingertips or a flat, firm (and sometimes dampened) brush and pressed/patted into place, then lightly blended.
I did not love the two finishes paired together as the matte finish was thinner and more powdery compared to the thicker, denser shimmers, so the shimmers often "erased" the matte eyeshadows when blended out.
The formula was different than the brand's original single pan formula that they originally debuted with, and I preferred their original formula overall, though the new one is decent, just not as foolproof to work with.
Original formula review: The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented, long-lasting, and blendable" and come in a variety of finishes. Most their eyeshadows are semi-opaque to opaque with a smooth, blendable textures that are easy to use and apply well to bare skin. The shimmers are slightly dense and creamier to the touch compared to the mattes, which aren't thin but don't have the same amount of slip. They tend to wear between eight and nine hours on me.

A green palette that I will be passing on. I do love the first 3 shades, but even at $16, I just don’t feel like this one is worth its “green”.
I’m tired of makeup releases with an “I’ve got so much money” theme. Money isn’t a personality.
I am quite disappointed by this palette from Coloured Raine – I think it’s the first they have put out in awhile. From what I remember of the brand, their singles were absolutely stunning. Yet this effort is so average. I don’t even like the colour story here either – too many mismatching green shades for me.
I used to love their eyeshadow formula, I don’t know why it was changed. It’s sad since this is a brand I would love to see thrive
So glad I skipped this purchase. I used to always buy Coloured Raine but after the last item I bought (the nudes palette) turned out to be made in China, I stopped buying their products.
Was it from their website or from a subscription box? I remember an issue with what they sent the subscription boxes… but haven’t gotten anything from their actual site that wasn’t made in the USA (that I’ve noticed at least). Not that it I think it is right to claim made in the USA but provide different products for subscription boxes, that is sketchy.
I ordered directly from the Coloured Raine website and the palette was made in PRC.
Noo, a great Kelly Green color but the formula sucks. I was very hopeful for a split second.
