Copper Rose

Coloured Raine Copper Rose Botanical Cream Blush ($12.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a medium coral with moderate, warm undertones balanced between pink and orange paired with a semi-matte finish. It was initially dewy but dried down to a more semi-matte finish within a minute or so–the dry down time was longer than typical.

The consistency was lightly emollient, thin, and not as dense/thick as the original cream blush formula, which I found made it more foolproof to work with and better for applying on top of foundation as it was less likely to lift up base products. It had mostly opaque, buildable color coverage that lasted for eight hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview

$12.00/0.17 oz. - $70.59 Per Ounce

The formula didn't have a lot of claims, only that it is supposed to be a "silky cream" texture that "helps moisturize the skin" with "the right amount of color." The texture was incredibly creamy; it felt like it was half-melted from the sun, because any pressure caused the product to displace quite a bit.

I'd highly recommend using a fluffy, synthetic brush and a feathery hand to pick up product, which was enough pressure to pick up more than enough product as they were intensely pigmented.

Worth noting: after the initial release of four shades, the brand released two additional shades in a smaller format, and they were significantly less creamy, thick, and had a thinner, lightly emollient texture that took longer to dry down and were not quite as pigmented (but still quite pigmented overall--I just didn't have to use the gentlest touch to grab product like the original shades).

Despite being one of the creamiest formulas I've come across in the cream blush realm, it had a full dry down to a more "natural" matte finish--not totally flat but not dewy at all. The blushes applied fairly well to bare skin and on top of foundation, but I found fingertips were more prone to lifting up base products with this formula.

They wore around eight hours on me before fading visibly.

This is a lovely shade and would be perfect with my daughter’s skin tone but she won’t give cream blushes a chance. She has oily skin and is convinced they all make her look more slick. Anyway, it looks gorgeous on you, Christine. It really brings out your deep eyes.
