Too many extremely similar pinks and magentas. There are 4 almost identical pinks and two identical pink-gold duochromes. Someone didn’t do a good job editing this palette.
I know!! Wth
I don’t like the color story. I would have preferred a couple more diverse colors. I understand the theme, it just isn’t something I’d use or holds my interest. Plus, the price is way too much for me.
Its pretty but if a palette is going to be all shimmer/metallic it needs to hit it out of the park in terms of special finishes and shades I’d get more use out of. Sadly this palette isn’t that for me. I tend toward palettes that are at least half matte or more, I have magnetic palettes full of “special” type shades and metallic singles, many from Clionadh.
I really like the packaging! It really sets the tropical mood 🙂
I was exiting to see a Clionadh’s palette, but now I feel a bit… Disappointed? Too heavy on pinks and fucsia (it reminds me Huda’s beauty neon pinks Nd oranges of some years ago), whereas the single collection has such particular shades! I am sure the quality is excellent, tough
Too PINK! Yikes, what is going on with so many pink-centric palettes these days? I mean, I do love the handful I have (ND Retro, PML Divine Rose ll), but a bunch of mostly neon pinks just aren’t my thing. That aside, I do love the two multi-chrome shades.
I’m probably the minority wanting a black in here (the seeds are black!) but I don’t think I’d know how to use the greens in this palette otherwise. I never use pinks and magentas with greens. I don’t know if it’s a cohesive palette for me but I do think it’s on theme.
There is no doubt that they make beautiful eyeshadows but as others have mentioned, there are too many similar colors. I sort of see where they were going with it offering a lighter and then darker shade of the same color but there needed to be more contrast between the shades. As much as I love green, I could have done with only one green and then some matte shades to use in transition. I don’t like having to get out multiple palettes to get a look.
This just looks so gorgeous. I hope I can pick it up.
This looks like a fun collection. It’s not my vibe, but it looks really pretty and catches the eye (no pun intended). A criticism would be that there are six or seven VERY SIMILAR pinks in this whole collection of fifteen colors…so…you know….better love shades of pink with varying levels of difference.
Clionadh’s strength is in its unique, high quality *singles* shadows. I have several, and they’re quite amazing. To me, this palette does not present a curated, well thought out colour story. It’s an eyesore of *very* similar neon pinks, greens and purples. I don’t like the packaging, either. It’s gaudy, and the layout IMO is unattractive with those two unnecessarily larger pans. The highlighters are out of my comfort zone; I have Clionadh Light, and that’s enough for me. An easy pass.
I’ve heard people raving about their single shadows for years. This is the first palette I’ve seen from them so I’m finally going to take the plunge. They aren’t every day shades but they are pretty and I’m dying to try this formula.
They pinks look a lot more diverse in the swatches on IG
I am sure it will be a success, and I wish that for the company. The palette, however, is a miss for me. Like the others stated, it is too simular and pink. I have many of these shades time and time again. I have also found Clionadh shadows to swatch very prettily, look sparkly on the eye, but not have much shift there. Other brands deliver better on shifting, in my opinion. I think it would have been better to skip the palette and release a series of singles. They have not had a restock for 4 or 5 months of their other shades that made them famous; so i rather them focus on delivering what they have already in a timely fashion, rather than expanding. I think they should move to a Terra Moons monthly pre-order model. I do congratulate them on their release.
I agree with you, Jessica. A company shouldn’t neglect the products that put it where it is today. Those core shadows are their bread and butter. I’ve ordered from Clionadh a few times, but I admit I hate the looooong wait. The new release may be a significant accomplishment for them at this stage of their development, but I hope it’s not at the expense of us singles lovers.
Whilst the usual quality that we have come to expect from Clionadah is evident, this palette is too pinky/magental heavy and perhaps needs a few more diverse shades from its range to make it more viable as a pastel themed palette.
No multi chrome palette? Pass! On bench waiting for a eyeshadow palette filled with multichromes!
Eek, a Clionadh palette! And brushes and nail polish even. The bright colors are so summery, I can’t wait!
Wow! Pink with a few other colors thrown in, lucky for me as I’m spending my money elsewhere. The few Clionadh eyeshadows I have are knock outs I love their eyeshadows just pink is done for me.
I think resistance is futile, definitely getting the pallet. So perfect for summer.
The two single shadows/highlights/blush toppers are duped within the palette (by refreshed and dragontini), but I don’t actually think that’s a bad thing– so many palettes I buy them just for 1 or 2 shades and this gives you the option not to whilst still getting the cute packaging. And I really like the theme! Think I will get the two highlighters to use as single shadows.
I honestly love this and have been really drawn to these types of colors. That being said it is out of my price range for sure.
This is a really pretty palette, but the color story is too bright for my taste. It would not get used nearly as much so definitely a pass for me.
I actually like this palette and both highlighters, though I’d only want Pitaya for me.
I do like pink eyeshadows, so I have loads, if I didn’t I would seriously consider buying this.
I do agree that the pinks are very similar, and had they added a good black it would have been a perfect match for the fruit that inspired the palette.
I also like the fruit, but it’s so expensive these days I can’t bring myself to spend that much on one fruit, I do need food as well! 🙂
I haven’t been buying much makeup lately but I was going to get this palette. Now I doubt it. I liked the top and bottom row but all the hot pink! I don’t usually wear it as I look like I have pink eye or something. With the usual high price most likely not worth it for me plus I never use the clionah shadows I have at home.
