They had me until “modern velvet,” lol. In my opinion, there are very few people who look really good in matte lipstick, and I don’t happen to be one of them. I MIGHT try them if they’re compatible with a gloss, since they do have some pretty colors (if the images are true to color).

Oh, I’m really excited for this! Especially as clinique is one of the few brands available in my own town so I can check these out easily at my own leisure.

Can’t claim to be a fan of the packaging (I like the metallic clinique packaging better), but the colors look lovely. I hope you review them!

So it’s… tinted primer…? Really chunky lip liner? Just lipstick with primer built in?

What a strange name. The colors seem pretty safe/generic, though, so I hope they have the quality of the Cheek Pops.

I’m really excited to see swatches and hear your thoughts on these! I feel like Clinique’s really been stepping up their game as far as makeup is concerned – first with the Cheek Pops and now these!

I am hoping these are as good as the Cheek Pops in terms of colour, performance, etc.The promise of “up to 8 hours” and the lovely selection of colours has me for sure planning to get a few of these. I’d be happy with 4 or 5 hours wear!

Modern velvet sounds like matte, which I would be interested in. Although, oddly, some of them look like they have sparklies, which I’m having trouble picturing (matte + sparklies), but maybe I’m misinterpreting what I’m seeing.

Can’t believe they are finally updating their very outdated blush and lipstick colors/formulas.. I would have liked more sophisticated packaging and names, color pop in a flower blush compact still screams teenager, or younger. But at least they are trying. I was at Lord and Taylor’s last night for their charity event with 15% off cosmetics and fragrances. The place was mobbed and the Clinique counter only had 3 bright shades of the color pop blush, no sign of the new colors you mentioned the other day, and no sign of these lipsticks. Looking forward to your reviews of color pop blush in cola and nude and of the matching lipsticks!

Just got Plum Pop and looooving it! It’s sooo smooth and comfortable on the lips! Very good formula! I recommend everyone try Clarins lip pencil in 05 Azalea with it, IMHO a good match. And well, I think this range will gradually replace my MAC lipsticks for everyday wear, since it just feels soo good on the lips 😉
