Melon Pop

Clinique Melon Pop Cheek Pop Blush ($25.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium, pink-coral with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had good color payoff that was easily sheered out or layered for greater intensity, but the color darkened slightly on the skin compared to how it looks in the pan (which is a bit lighter, more orange).

The texture was soft, smooth, and incredibly blendable on the skin. I’m sure I sound like a broken record, but the finish of the formula is why this blush stands out: it’s beautifully luminous with a glow that doesn’t emphasize pores. On me, this blush wore well for eight hours before fading slightly.

Formula Overview

$21.00/0.12 oz. - $175.00 Per Ounce

The formula is described as “vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless.” The texture was smooth, soft, and dense, so it was never powdery in the pan or on the skin. The blush had good color payoff that was easily sheered out (or you could apply less, as the denser texture makes that easy to control).

It’s the kind of texture that almost blends itself as soon as you start applying and working it onto the skin. The finish became more luminous as I blended the powder onto the skin, but it was never shiny or overly shimmery, so it always looked smooth on my skin and did not emphasize pores or my skin’s texture. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

wait, make that TWO extra shades that aren’t on the clinique website — nude pop and cola pop. I hope they all become available for everyone before the Chic Week!

You’re welcome! I am so excited to try these once I get access to them. Cola looks lovely, but I’m not sure what I’d do with it, my skin is relatively light.

This blush is PERFECT. Everything about it, I love! The color and finish are so pretty! I have a hard time blending things on my face. I think it’s just the shape of my face haha. So I prefer blushes that aren’t super pigmented so that I can slowly build.

Oh, I need this one and the lavender one. This should be perfect for my pasty pale skin, since I have to be very careful with Peach Pop. Oh heck, I know I’ll buy them all, except for the Cola you just posted. Not sure that I can make that work even using a fan brush, though I do bet it will be lovely on darker complexions.

Probably my favourite spring release! These blushes are so fairy-like and magical, they make me forget that most of my current blushes are a similar shade of delicate peachy-pink lol! Thanks Christine

As pretty as this is and as stunning as it looks on you I might just sit this one out. If it had received a Temptalia Recommends then it would’ve been a completely different story! Thanks for the review

This is too warm/peach for me, but it is really pretty!

Thank you sooo much for listing the ingredients. I’ve searched all over the Internet for a list, and noone listed them-including Sephora & Clinique. Since these fall into my list of preferences, I definitely need a few!

Totally debating on whether to get this or rosy pop. I know they’re completely different, but I have no pink/peach blushes (just bronzers and MAC Warm Soul)

I have like… NC5 skin, so I know they won’t look remotely similar, but poor wallet can only support one!

I bought Peach Pop last year after reading your review. It has been my favorite blush since then. Thanks for your reviews!
How does Melon Pop compare to ColourPop Trickery? Which do you liker better?
