Clinique Fig Pop Cheek Pop Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Fig Pop
Clinique Fig Pop Cheek Pop Blush ($25.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a deepened, orange-coral with a hint of pink-red and a subtle, golden micro-shimmer that gives it a luminous sheen. The texture of this blush was incredibly soft, smooth, and almost velvety, despite being a powder product. It sits beautifully on the skin giving it a luminous sheen but never emphasizes pores or the skin’s natural texture.
It had rich, true-to-pan color payoff that can be applied and blended down, applied with a lighter hand, or at full intensity, but no matter whether you want to build the color or take it down, it’s easy to work with. I feel like when I applied the blush, it already looked soft, diffused, and blended, while still seeing plenty of color show on my skin. On me, the blush wore well for nine hours before fading slightly. The only downside is that I think it is close enough to Ginger Pop that it may be redundant depending on how you apply Ginger Pop, though this seems a bit less shimmery and more toned down.

Formula Overview
$21.00/0.12 oz. - $175.00 Per Ounce
The formula is described as “vibrant yet natural-looking cheek colour that looks virtually powderless.” The texture was smooth, soft, and dense, so it was never powdery in the pan or on the skin. The blush had good color payoff that was easily sheered out (or you could apply less, as the denser texture makes that easy to control).
It’s the kind of texture that almost blends itself as soon as you start applying and working it onto the skin. The finish became more luminous as I blended the powder onto the skin, but it was never shiny or overly shimmery, so it always looked smooth on my skin and did not emphasize pores or my skin’s texture. Most shades lasted between eight and nine hours on me.

This would be the perfect companion for my Ginger Pop which I LOVE! This is the kinds coral I love! 🙂
Yayyyy!
Oh yes, I’ve been waiting for this review 😀 And it’s everything I had hoped it would be, hehe. This shade is definitely my favorite so far.
Thrilled it met your expectations!
Aw this is such a shame it’s so similar to Ginger Pop! I have Ginger Pop already and absolutely love it (not far off hitting pan now!) so don’t think I can justify getting another so similar – Fig Pop does look lovely though!
Totally understand, Carly! 🙂
This is pretty, but what on Earth made them decide to call it Fig?
Isn’t it a bit like the interior of a fig? Maybe running a little more orange but it doesn’t seem totally different than the inside of one, though I’ve never cut one open, only seen photos!
As always, this is the kind of colour that really appeals to me! I don’t have ginger pop – so maybe I’ll go for this one (even though I have other dupes 😉 )
You’ll have to let me know what you decide on!
These blushes are so pretty! There are so much to choose from, I really don’t know which one to pick!!!
They are! It’s so hard to pick a favorite!
I love this! I was going to try to get Ginger pop at the Sephora sale. But , i am thinking I may like this a little better. Can’t wait for the round- up! I have caved already on Peach, Cola, and Nude. Do you think you will include originals in your roundup as a way to compare?
Hi Nicole,
I wasn’t planning on it (already did a comparison of them when they first released!), but you can see them all in the gallery 🙂
ok..no problem!
Clinique, my very first high end brand that I bought. It has been many years since I bought Clinique. Though the colors and the texture may be delightful and the design is cute, I cannot get myself to like this. I think it lacks the mirror and a cheap brush.
I’m totally the opposite, lol! I don’t want to pay for things like a mirror/cheap brush, since I never use either!
I was happy to see the PS. I was going to ask for a roundup. What color pops would you suggest for someone that’s fair and with yellow undertone? I don’t have any color pops and I see how highly they are rated. I’d like to get 2 or 3. Thanks, Christine!
Hi Jessica,
All of them work for fair, warm skin tones, IMO! It is going to be a matter of your preference, I think 🙂
This is so pretty! I’m so glad these are permanent, I have enough blushes to last me a very long time but I want to get some of these new ones eventually!
Me too!
Oh damn, this seems like my kind of colour and an A+ and recommendation too? Might have to cave finally buy one of these, maybe this or Nude Pop. I hope their new lipsticks are as good as these blushes seem to be!
Let’s hope so!
I don’t usually wear much Clinique makeup, although I do like some of their skincare, but your reviews of these might’ve made me change my mind! The colors do seem really beautiful and I’m impressed with your thoughts on application/wear so I think I’ll have to give one a try.
The only thing I dislike (without having actually tried them yet) is the packaging. It seems kind of tacky/cheap. Now I know Clinique isn’t the MOST expensive of “high-end” brands so I’m not surprised by the more affordable cost, but I’m a bit of a package snob 🙁
It has a decent heft to it, even though it’s clear plastic – I don’t think it feels cheap in the hand at all in terms of actually having and holding it, I don’t get “cheap” as the vibe from it, if that helps!
But keep in mind that I find Dior/Chanel type compacts to be pretty cheap feeling!
It just looks like a Milani product. That is why I want the mirror and that cheap brush. Back then the blushes…high or low end came with a cheap brush for travel. Makeup brushes for the normal population was not popular until MAC came into the picture.
You model corals so well! They don’t really look good on me but when I see them on you I want them. I might give it a try though because it’s not too bright. You say it’s easy to get a light hand and sheer application?
Yes, you can definitely get a sheerer application! 🙂
This one kind of runs warm for me, but I’m sure I can find many other shades I will like. Can’t wait for your round-up!
Hopefully a couple will appeal to you, Katherine! 😀
Pass… It’s far too warm for my liking, but I’m not complaining-there are enough of these that I *do* like, it’s probably for the best, LOL! So far, Heather, Nude, Pansy, Rosy, & Pink have made the cut, with Cola still being a contender…
I’d love to see a cooler-toned one!
Very nice. I think it might be too warm for me but I’ll still swatch it!
Let me know how it works for you, Erin!
Love your honest reviews! I may have to get Melon and Nude Pop (even though I have Peach Pop and another similar nude shade already, these are just too good to pass up). Any idea when these will be available for non-VIB Rouge members?
No idea, but it should be soon!
I would buy it if the price in Europe was more reasonable: $21 in US, 29.5€ in Europe (almost $32, $11 difference!!! They are even not so heavy or bulky to transport). “big cheek pop”
Aww!
I just love this color. And it looks so beautiful on you! I think I may need this one
Yay!
It’s pretty in the pan, but downright gorgeous on your skin. I had no idea it would turn out so stunning. I do love a good coral blush.
Thank you, Rachel!
Fig Pop looks slightly unattractive in the pan. But boy do I love the final look it gives! Such a pretty color!
It is really pretty!
This one is a question mark for me. I’ve been tempted over Chanel Malice for quite some time, debating whether or not it strays too far towards the orange side. This could be viable less expensive option. I received Nude and Heather today from Sephora and they were perfect picks for my tastes. Nude ROCKS.. it looks like nothing in the pan, thought it almost looked too pale, but then somehow it translates to a super subtle and yet still noticeable cheek colour. I’m in love!
Ahh! So excited that Nude is working so well for you, Wendy. These blushes are magic!
What about Rockateur? Looks like they might be similar?
Rockateur is a little rosier but they are similar!
Ugh I bought four of the new shades and now I want this shade too :)) They’re so nice, it’s hard not to pick them all.
It is!!
I didn’t pick up Ginger Pop because I felt it was too similar to Peach Pop, but Fig Pop may or may not be different enough to justify getting both.
Here’s hoping it is… or should I hope they’re too similar? LOL!
I love this color, but I do have the ginger pop. Are they the same formula? Mine seemed powdery and I bit hard to work with, but maybe that will change the more I use it? Can you use these wet?
It’s the same formula as far as I can tell, but my Ginger Pop wasn’t powdery 🙁 I am sad to hear yours was!
Hi! I’ve been loving Clinique’s blush in Fig but it’s the one that comes in a green case. We don’t have it where I’m from and I want to order online but I want to know if this one is similar to it. I like the packaging more and I think the formula is better. I couldn’t see any comparisons online. Hope you can help me out. Thanks!
I don’t have the one in the green case, sorry!
