Cranberry

Cle de Peau Cranberry Cream Blush ($60.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy plum with warm undertones and a satin finish. The more blended out the color, the less shimmery it appeared on the skin–more like a natural sheen than overtly shimmery. The consistency was thin with enough slip to blend easily but it dried down quickly and set in place for a solid eight hours on me. It had semi-sheer coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage.

The formula is supposed to have “the perfect touch of sheer luminous color” that can be applied with fingertips or a brush. The consistency is firmer in the pot; it’s definitely a cream-based product, but only a little comes away from the surface and dries down within twenty seconds of being applied to the skin. The coverage was semi-sheer, buildable up to semi-opaque coverage. I liked applying these with either a small, synthetic stippling brush or my fingertips, though my preferred method was using a brush to initially apply the color and then lightly patting the edges with my fingertips. On me, the blushes lasted between seven and nine hours on my normal-to-dry skin. The formula is rose-scented, and I get a faint hint of it when worn.

Pale Fig

Cle de Peau Pale Fig Cream Blush ($60.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with warmer undertones and a satin finish. It had sheer coverage that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage, if desired. The consistency felt smooth, blendable, and thinner with just enough slip that it still felt like a cream product, but it was never greasy, slick, or wet on the skin–it immediately started to look and feel like a powder blush upon contact with my skin. The color wore well for almost nine hours on me before fading.

The high high end of Shiseido. Good quality. Like the old old version of the single eyeshadow where you put in the case. However, if I were to buy, I am veering off to non-department store brands sold on Beautylish. RMS and Kjier Weiss and likes. Especially skincare….feels and smells less artificial, unlike the department store brands.

These sound lovely, though I personally dont like cream products. I find them frustrating to work with. They look lovely on you too.

I just purchased the Pale Fig at Nordstrom’s because it looks so pretty. I love your site Christine but my poor credit cards get a work out.

Chrisitine, that cranberry is the prettiest blush I have ever seen you wear! It is just gorgeous! I hope you use it again in a future look.

Oh my. That Pale Fig shade is calling my name! I just swore off cream blushes as I just finished my Nars ‘The Multiple’ stick in the shade Portofino- my dry skin seems to eat blush requiring nearly hourly reapplication.
These look a lot like the Winter LE collection cream blush (which came with a few divine pencils) that CdP did several years ago.

Wowee. That Pale Fig is too beautiful for words and it looks super pretty with the Chanel Fragola. I never want to break the seal on Cle de Peau: if I buy one of their products it will make it okay to buy any/every one of them!
