Charlotte Tilbury The Queen of Glow Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
The Queen of Glow
Charlotte Tilbury The Queen of Glow Eyeshadow Quad ($53.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a new, ultra warm-toned quad featuring three, shimmery copper shades and a matte, warm burgundy shade. The first two shimmers were lovely–some of the brand’s best–while the third shimmer was workable but could have been more yielding. The matte shade performed well with nearly opaque coverage and good blendability.

The Queen of Glow #1
The Queen of Glow #1 is a light-medium, golden copper with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had rich color coverage in a single layer with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was dense without being too firmly pressed into the pan. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin and blended out effortlessly. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

The Queen of Glow #2
The Queen of Glow #2 is a medium-dark copper with strong, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. It had opaque color payoff that adhered evenly to my lid and blended out with little effort. The consistency felt smooth and lightly creamy, dense but not too firmly pressed into the pan, so it picked up well with my brush. There were slight signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

The Queen of Glow #3
The Queen of Glow #3 is a light-medium, reddish-copper with moderate, warm undertones and flecks of pink and gold sparkle throughout. The texture felt slightly drier and a touch more firmly pressed into the pan compared to the other shades, though it was still quite pigmented. I’d recommend applying this shade by patting and pressing onto the lid to get the most impact and least likelihood of fallout. It stayed on well for eight hours with a bit of fallout over time.

Lovely coppery quad! If I knew that I couldn’t dupe it within my stash, I would definitely buy this. I still may, because it’s portable!
Really pretty quad but as I have lamented on the blog before, I have a ton of these warm shades and no CT counter any where near me so that I could check them out in person. Just one of the negatives about living in rural areas.
I love this quad, with its graduated gold/coppery shades. The only thing is that these shades are so popular at the moment there are dupes galore. I also think that shades 1 & 2 were pretty similar to each other and perhaps another colour, say an olive or a mid tone brown would have worked too.
At least this quad got its own name….
This quad is on my buy list when a good sale comes around. I really like CT’s copper shades!
