Charlotte Tilbury The Golden Goddess Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches
The Golden Goddess
Charlotte Tilbury The Golden Goddess Eyeshadow Quad ($53.00 for 0.18 oz.) released in the past year–I managed to miss it!–and is a a warm-toned neutral palette with all shimmer shades. The quality was fairly consistent with past quads by the brand, though the formula wasn’t as good as it gets in the larger palettes the brand has released in the last couple of years.

The Golden Goddess #1
The Golden Goddess #1 is a light-medium, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was somewhat powdery, which resulted in sheerer color coverage that didn’t build up well without a lightly tacky primer underneath it. There were signs of fading visible after seven hours of wear.

The Golden Goddess #2
The Golden Goddess #2 is a light taupe-brown with soft, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had full color payoff, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was smooth, finely-milled, and a touch on the thin side but didn’t prove to be a problem on my skin. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

The Golden Goddess #3
The Golden Goddess #3 is a light-medium, yellowy brown base with flecks of peach-pink sparkle. It had a lightly emollient feel to it, almost wet-like, which helped the larger sparkles adhere to the lid, though I still had some fallout during application. It had mostly opaque color payoff, which was buildable, but the texture was a little firmer and stiffer to work with overall. It stayed on well for eight hours but had light fallout over time.

This was my least favorite eyeshadow palette I tried from Charlotte Tilbury, unfortunately, because I love everything else from her. It didn’t have any contrast. Was just blah on me, anyway. Others seemed to really like it. It was a no go for me. Did nothing. Got de-cluttered. Don’t miss it.
Same- I also found it pretty dull on me. I have dark brown eyes and these colors were just too muted. But I like her quads and this was no exception when it came to the quality.
This is a nice neutral palette – but nothing really super special and I think all the shades can be duped fairly easily. It would have been better if the formula was perfect though.
Is this any different than the original Golden Goddess palette that was released when her brand launched in 2013? I have one from back then and the shadows were nice but that pop shade was dry and problematic. I don’t reach for it as much as other quads from that time.
I believe it is different!
