Charlotte Tilbury has already been busy with spring 2020 launches! The brand launched a new Instant Look palette late last year along with two new eyeshadow quads (one is an updated version of the original The Rebel quad). There is also a new, limited edition shade–Magic Red–for the Lunar New Year and an online exclusive–Scarlet Spell–in the Matte Revolution formula.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Zero interest. I bought the pillow talk quad about a year ago, after it kept going out of stock. It is one of the worst performing palettes in my collection of 1500+ shadows. I would be hard-pressed to find something of worse quality – even drugstore brands make better shadow. And egregious at the $55 pricepoint. I posted a 1-star review on their site, explaining my experience and reasoning. No one reached out. The palette had a huge number of positive reviews so I think they just left it there for balance but after it garnered something like 30 likes, they took it down.
Shady brand practice – youโ€™re gonna take down a review from a registered customer with registered transactions? Really?

So Iโ€™m not buying any CT. Not now, and likely not ever. And I am quite vocal about it. This is what happens when you try to shut down your customers – you only end up amplifying their displeasure. Sorry, but I generally skip the CT reviews. Thatโ€™s all it took to lose my attention. Plenty of small brands with better quality and a lower pricepoint who deserve attention.

Well-said. Everything from CT is a hard pass for me. Not sure why, either. All they did was take down my review of their crummy over-hyped product..

Now here’s me thinking that there won’t be anything much that will tempt me this year and out comes The Rebel version 2 that is absolutely up my alley in a big, big way. The only problem (apart from the price) will be if I have a gazillion dupes of the shades…..

I love the idea of the Instant Look palettes but always wish that the sizes of the swish blush and bronzer would get flipped, and that I could slightly alter the eyeshadow colors. However, itโ€™d be a lovely lil travel palette.

Stoned Rose is actually my favorite of all of the CT lipsticks (and probably one of my favorite ever period), and while this palette looks lovely, it is honestly so uninspired and dupeable. Something more like Smashbox Petal Metal is a much more “smoked rose” kind of look, but it would need to be a hair grungier to really capture the vibe of the lipstick in my opinion.

The Instant Look palette is way too similar to the one I JUST bought (Glowing Beauty) so IU can easily pass on this one. I do love the instant look in a palettes though, I’ve gotten a ton of use out of the one I have.
The Rebel quad is seriously calling my name, I’ve been looking for a nice khaki green shade and I love all 4 shades in this palette….so tempting but I’m also trying to be very mindful of purchases this year! So who knows if I will get this.
