Charlotte Tilbury Happiberry & Pillow Talk Happikiss Lipstick Balms Review & Swatches
Happiberry
Charlotte Tilbury Happiberry Hyaluronic Happikiss Colour Balm ($34.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a rich, reddish-plum with strong, warm undertones and a high-shine cream finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer, which was more pigmentation than marketed, but likely not a deal-breaker for most.
The texture was denser, thicker without being heavy or tacky, so it had good adhesion and didn’t slide around, but it felt thicker than most lip product son the market. The product applied evenly and didn’t look streaky along the edges. It lasted nicely for four and a half hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$34.00/0.08 oz. - $425.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be hydrating and help lips look smoother while having a "high-shine finish with medium coverage." It had a denser, thicker consistency with light tackiness that didn't feel heavy, but it was thicker than most lip product son the market. The shades tended to have mostly opaque to opaque color coverage rather than "medium coverage."
The finish was exceptionally shiny, and it did give the illusion of plumper lips. Whether the product looked smoothing depended on the shade as some were more flattering to wear than others. They lasted between three and five hours, were hydrating, and didn't feather/bleed on me despite being a creamier, more emollient consistency; they seemed to adhere better than a true lip balm, but they were still comfortable to wear. The formula had a subtle, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.
Worth noting, the packaging used thinner plastic and was much lighter-weight (to the point of feeling a little flimsy) compared to other Charlotte Tilbury lip products. It also has a clicking, twist-up mechanism that doesn't lalow for the product to be twist back into the tube, so take care when twisting product out for use. I'm guessing that the more balm-like formula needed that type of mechanism in order not to break at the base.

Pillow Talk
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Hyaluronic Happikiss Colour Balm ($34.00 for 0.08 oz.) is a muted, rosy mauve with warm undertones and a high-shine, glossy cream finish. The texture was smooth, moderately dense and thicker, though not heavy.
It was easy to over-apply product, so I’d definitely work slowly and avoid building up coverage. It had opaque color coverage, which was more than marketed, but it applied evenly over my lips and softened some of my lip lines. It wore well for four hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

I love the idea of a plush and slightly thick feeling colored balm although I would feel concerned about the brighter colors smearing.
The ingredient list looks similar to a lot of lip sleeping masks on the market which makes sense as to why these have a thicker plushy formula.
I am surprised by the smaller amount of product in these which is similar to how I feel about the Em Cosmetics Lip Cushions. If this is something that I would be wearing all the time, I would go through it really fast.
Love ’em both! Finally, something named “pillow talk” that I must have, lol! As for Happiberry, I’ll wait until our current mask situation ends. But I could see wearing Pillow Talk lightly with a lip liner fairly easily.
Hellooooo, happiberry! You are right up my alley!
What a lovely shade Happiberry is!
Happiberry looks so much like cranberry jelly/jam. Especially with that powerful gloss. <3
$34 for 0.08oz of product for something easy to over-apply? I cannot abide. Pillow Talk looks 1000000% something Iād go for though š« I can definitely see myself using up the entire tube but still walking away feeling like $34 was too much.
This is pretty and right up my alley. I own similar products that are fraction of the cost and love it. It does look like it is an extremely soft balm and my concern would be the price. I can use up similar products in a week or two. Do love how it looks.
