Charlotte Tilbury Fair Airbrush Bronzer Review & Swatches

Fair (1)

Charlotte Tilbury Fair (1) Airbrush Bronzer ($55.00 for 0.56 oz.) is a light-medium, golden beige with warm undertones and a matte finish. It might take the spot of the lightest bronzer I’ve ever come across; it’s so light that it’s not really brown (as most bronzers fall into the “brown” categorization)!

The texture felt finely-milled, but it was a drier, more papery powder, though it didn’t seem as prone to enhancing every fine line I had on my skin like the other three did. There was still light emphasis, especially when I smiled, though. I don’t know if it was more of an illusion as it blended in my natural skin tone–if you were someone who felt like every bronzer has always been too dark, this might be the illusive One–but it did mattify the area completely. It had good color payoff in a single layer, and from what I could tell (I judged by how matte it appeared relative to my bare skin), it lasted around eight hours.

I’m vampire fair and I don’t tan, I burn and go back to translucent, and this just looks like a yellow powder that would give a sickly cast to my skin. Maybe someone that’s very fair with a warm undertone would like this but it won’t work on my cool undertone.

I’m so pale that I don’t tan when I burn, and it looks like this bronzer would still have a hard time showing up on me. I guess there are people it would suit, but it seems like a pretty niche choice for one out of a range of just four colours.

Same— it really makes me wonder what the focus testing was like that this was still considered a viable option as one shade of a limited range!

Every time I read “papery”, it sounds like this product would be akin to nails on a chalkboard! Just noooo! 😬
Too bad it’s so dry and matte. This could have been a great option for the lightest of the light.

When I first saw the light shade I thought it just looked like face powder. Lo and behold it almost is the exact same shade as the Airbrush Flawless Finish powder in medium! I don’t think I will buy any of these, because I don’t need them, but I’m interested to swatch them because your reviews are very different than any of the people on YT I follow. Now I am intrigued!

I know a few readers have said they’ve had a positive result with all of these CT bronzers but it truly does look like the company dropped the ball with these because of the texture. With this one, whilst the colour doesn’t show up on you, I can see the dryness and papery-ness that the product creates. Not a good result at all.
