Of the 4 of them I like the last one the best (Tweed Brun et Rose) but not enough to want it, which is good since it’s not available where I live. And truth to tell, I’m sure I’ve got dupes up the Wazoo. The packaging and presentation are very nice and very “luxe” but my heart isn’t racing.

I was seriously contemplating on getting Brun et Rose but thanks to your swatches, you have officially convinced me to pass on it. I already have these shades in my collection (Natasha Denona’s Glam). They’re really expensive and it seem like consumers are mostly buying it for the packaging and imprint.

I was doing some online beauty browsing yesterday evening and came across these on the Bay’s website. I liked the Tweed Fauve. It reminded me of the Empreinte quad – I have noticeably hit pan on it.- and a possible ‘replacement’. My eyes then looked at the price and was shocked at the $103 Canadian for the palette. About a 35% increase from the normal palettes ($76). Will need to check them out in-person to see if the tweed case is worth the extra $27. And read the reviews.

YIKES!!! I think we all know (at least in Canada) that the price of everything has gone up since the Pandemic (we were shocked at the price hike on the Chinese food we ordered last night because our son is home….we’d ordered the same favourites that we always get when he comes home but the price had gone up alarmingly) – but that is some hefty price increase (and not on something essential like groceries). I’m relieved that I’m not madly in love with any of these because that price is way more than I’m willing to pay.

This is why I love the autumn eyeshadow offerings – lovely neutral kind of shades. Tweed Curve is the one that interests me the most, although like the rest of us here, I no doubt have lots of dupes for it. But it’s good to see Chanel offering something other than oranges and reds.

Before the swatches, Brun et Rose looked promising. On the skin, most of the colors look too yellowish for beige. Maybe Brun Pourpre? Not a huge fan of pinks, but they will work for my skin undertones. I’ll probably pass. There are too many cheaper dupes, unless these have some super amazing qualities related to application or performance.
