Chanel Or Rose Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($30.00 for 0.01 oz.) is described as a “light rosy beige.” It’s a warm, golden copper; I didn’t get real rosiness–more a mix of champagne, gold, and a copper/bronze aspect that gave it a darker coloring. I couldn’t think of anything similar to this, as nothing in the champagne/nude family compared, and even in my gold eyeliner stash, nothing was quite right (most were much yellower).

I was so hoping to love this, because “rosy beige” sounded like a great way to brighten and open up eyes, but the drier consistency of this made it difficult to apply on the lower lash line. There was a fair amount of pulling and tugging–just not all that comfortable to use. Even swatching, it dragged a little, and the kind of pressure one uses to swatch on the arm is so much more than the amount used on the lash line or lid!

It looked ragged when applied; you know when an eyeliner drags and pulls, so the end result isn’t all that even–the line isn’t crisp and not fully opaque.  The color was great, but the texture needed to be a lot smoother so it could glide on better.  What I did manage to apply stayed on well, though, and I still had the same amount on my lower lash line after eight hours. I couldn’t get this to apply the waterline, though; it just wouldn’t deposit color at all.

I have one of these Chanel eyeliners in a purple shade. It’s very painful to use. I first apply a bit to the back of my hand to warm the liner. However, it still drags across my eyelids. It’s a shame because the color itself is pretty.

Wow that is weird – I got this and wore it yesterday with no issues. Stayed on the waterline all day and no problem with applying on lower lash line. Go figure.

I can actually see this working for myself. I cant wear the soft buttery eyeliners because they go everywhere, no matter now I apply or wear them. I usually pick the ones that are dry and a little harder to work with because those actually last on my eyes! So in my case, would you recommend?

I have a feeling many DS brands will do something similar, if not exact. I would keep my eye on L’Oreal, as they tend to roll out more new liners, and they’ve done similar shades in the past (also, the quality is usually superb).

Been using on my waterline – looks great on me – wonder if the pencil is faulty? I really love it – didnt think i would but i have been using everyday – I would try to exchange it just for the heck of it?

It’s beautiful! Like the ES too. What’s on your eyebrows? It may be my holy grail color, finding the right eye brow product has been a difficult job. Haven’t found it yet either.

Awww first bad review for this Chanel collection, everything else has been stellar lets hope this is the only lower perfoming product of the collection.
