Chanel No. 5 Holiday Colour Collection is a new, limited edition release that includes five lipsticks (at least some have been released previously, they’re just in special packaging), two highlighters (a liquid and a cream), two liquid eyeshadows, and an eyeshadow quad (which was still on pre-order when I placed my order for the other items, but it shipped and I should have that soon!).

I love and would wear all the actual reds. They’re terrific. But one thing that gripes me, especially w/some of the Asian l/s is calling a shade ‘red’ when it’s not. Nars has a bunch of faux reds, too. Arrrgh.

Lightest, Pink undertones. Dry skin.

All the swatches look pretty good and that gold liquid eyeshadow looks fabulous. The lipsticks are quite appealing to me as they seem to have a pinkish base though. I am eagerly awaiting the eyeshadow quad.

SHUT UP!!!!! You know me and Chanel e/s quads. They’re no longer available anywhere near me and I just go into paroxysms of agony when they’re beautiful and I can’t readily get my mitts on them. Strange as it seems, I hope it’s not a fabulous quad …. or at least that it’s filled with shades I can easily dupe!

Oh, and YOU have really started something….I bought The Rebel quad 2 or 3 weeks ago and guess what I bought today….The Rock Chick. All YOUR fault!

Pirate is a gorgeous shade of red! It just has a movie star level of glamour to it.

I got it as a mini from a friend who’d gotten it as a gift and knew she wouldn’t use it because she doesn’t wear red lipstick, and I fell in love with it so much that it was the only lipstick I bought last year during the pandemic. I think that one and Icon from Hourglass are the only two “luxury” lipsticks I’ve bought

Nothing except the Rouge Allure in Rouge Brulant catches my eye here. I will definitely seek a live swatch of that one!!

I hope I have dupes for the lipsticks! Pirate is probably my favourite.

Legendaire and Pirate look interesting but I would love a darker matte Legendaire. I’ve been dreaming of nice burgundy. Speaking of which the other day I wore a creamy red and finally realised why people complain so much about wearing lisptick under a mask! I looked like a bloody clown! hahah! I’ve worn a gazillion different lipsticks since the pandemic and it had never happened to me. What a bloody mess!
