I’m happy to say that this is a better product than Fleur de Pierre! The newest iteration of the Illusion d’Ombre family is supposed to be a matte version, though I’m not sure where shimmer and matte became interchangeable; these have a drier, smoother consistency and much less sparkle/glitter compared to the permanent Illusion d’Ombre line-up, but this shade is nowhere near matte. It had semi-opaque color payoff that was blendable and could be sheered out for more of a wash of color (brightening for fair to medium skin tones) or used as a base. The color lasted for nine hours on me before fading.

I like this one and hooray..it is a permanent product! I prefer a B+ or above on things price this high though. The color doesn’t seem very unique. But, my cream shadow collection is not that large. I may be able to shop around for better at a lower price if I took the time. Probably a pass for me.
It’s definitely not super unique 🙂
I swatched this in store, and it was very nice. I already have a number of cream shadows to go through, so I skipped it, but it seems like a very versatile product –to brighten up the eye area, as a base, sheered out, or built up into a peachy orange color.
I agree – it could be very versatile for some skin tones!
Um it looks like crumbled dirt or clay…Not a good color for some of us of deeper/darker skin…
Definitely will not be a go-to for all skin tones!
I’m glad this is permanent! My mom’s name is Melody, and I love my IdO, so this one calls to me. But I’ve gotta save up for those LE Chanel blues!
Awww!
This is one I would pass on. I’m not sure my skin tone can pull off a cantaloupe color on the eyes.
Oh, that’s too bad!
This looks like a nice shade .. I have never purchased any of these cream shadows and recently picked 2 from Dior and absolutely loving them …
will consider a shade or two from Chanel as well 🙂
The Dior ones are nice!
It looks beautiful swatched! Could be worn all over the lid as a “your skin but better” dewy eye. Would be beautiful! Not sure if I would get it for $36 though
