Chanel Collection Etats Poetiques for Fall 2014

This Fall, a poetic new palette expresses passion and emotion. Through an evocative collection focused on eyes, the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio plays an intriguing game of opposites: innocent and stormy, soft and intense. A spectrum of pink shades — balanced with flashes of purple, radiant yellow and tumultuous grey — brings a state of grace to COLLECTION ÉTATS POÉTIQUES. At the heart of this romantic colour range, a reinvented eyeliner adds mystery to every glance.

hi christine!! this is only my opinion….i’ve worn chanel for years. this collection looks like it was put together very quickly without much thought. what has happened to chanel? this is already available at dillard’s but, of course everything is mostly sold out. a pass for me…..hoping another line will catch my eye! xo. p.s. i thought the reformulated quads were coming in first. mystic eyes is featured in this collection ( the old formula).

That eyecolour combo looks so… 70s?! lol not something I would think of with Chanel… anyway, disappointed there’s no illuminating powder. The only thing that appeals to me are the nail polishes.

i usually skip chanel because it just seems sort of average to me…nothing exciting. i love this look though. if you can really get the shadows to look how they look on the model, i’m in. i love the combo of the purple/pink and yellow and the bold lips. the blush looks really nice too.

The promo picture leaves me quite cold, which is rather unusual (except for what the model is wearing on her lips on the second and third pics, it’s quite lovely!). I do feel this was put rather quickly too. Orage looks pretty, but it reminds me too much of a blue-ish version of Vertigo (which I do love though!), and I already own that one. I hope Secret turns out to be a nice nude.
Oh, well. More for my wallet. 🙂

I haven’t purchased many Chanel products lately, but the JC Blush in Innocence really caught my attention, so I ordered it from chanel.com. It’s hard to go wrong with a demure, rosy pink from Chanel 🙂 We shall see.

wow that is absolutely stunning…i never thought that those bright colors would ever look good on me, but seeing how she rocks it, i really want that look!

I’m attracted to the first 3 lipsticks and the Orage nail polish. I’m not feeling most of the eyeshadows, though, especially the yellow.
