Chanel Ambre Dore Chanel Ambre Dore (11) Stylo Yeux Long Lasting Eyeliner Stylo Yeux Long Lasting Eyeliner ($32.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a golden copper with a metallic sheen. Giorgio Armani Copper (05) (LE, $28.00) is darker. Chanel Or Rose (LE, $30.00) is darker, less metallic. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
This is one of the more pigmented shades of Chanel’s Stylo Yeux I’ve tried–it was totally opaque in a single stroke! The consistency was a little stiff, though, so it wasn’t the most comfortable eyeliner to use on the lash line. It doesn’t tug much, but it seems to skip slightly. Once applied, the color lasted for eight hours before starting to gradually thin and fade.
Ambre Dore (911)
PPermanent. $34.00.

I am not a huge fan of these pencils from Chanel, even then I think the matte formula of these is slightly better!
I don’t know if I’ve tried any of the matte shades, actually!
It’s nice to come across a Chanel eyeliner that’s worth the money! Past reviews were disappointing.
I was pleasantly surprised by the payoff/end result, though still wish it was creamier!
I like my eyeliners to be a bit more creamy, so I will pass. Thanks for the review!
No prob, Judith!
Yep, I picked this one up too and I find the most aggravating part of the Chanel Stylo’s is their wickedly stiff texture, but hot damn they always seem to have such fabulous colours! Hrmpf. I found this one a little softer than usual and agree, you can get good pigmentation with one swipe.. Certainly not the best, but it’s really really pretty so I’m happy.
They do have some gorgeous colors! It’s better than many others I’ve tried, though at this price point that’s still not quite cutting it, lol!
I am looking for an eyeliner to replace my UD Virgin since I am not using the other one nearly enough.
I am LOVING using VIrgin on my lower waterline but I”m eating through that pencil. I think this one might do but I haven’t used a pencil you iddn’t have to sharpen in years.
You’ll probably burn through this one quickly as this contains less product than a regular pencil eyeliner!
It’s pretty, but I’m not aching for it.
If it was more comfortable to apply, it might be worth considering, but as is, it’s easy to skip.
Very pretty but I don’t think I could pull it off!
Aww!
I use this to line beneath my lower lashes. It’s amber lustre serves as a nice backdrop for my black lashes so it makes for a lighter, fresher alternative to my usual dark liners. It opens the eye rather than enclosing it and is ideal for summer’s more carefree, less contrived looks.
It’s a beautiful shade for sure! Do you have any issues with the texture or does it work well for you, Eileen?
This is very pretty, but like everyone says – it’s not really worth the money.
I hear ya!
I love these liners! They last forever lol. If I didn’t have so many gold liners I’d get this one too!
Do you know of any good dupes for this shade, Fancie?
I purchased a Chanel Eyeliner once in Black or Noir. It did not hold up well at all, ran terribly. So I never purchased another one.
I’ve had some ones I really didn’t like as well!
Unfortunately, Chanel, this isn’t very unique. It’s beautiful all the same! 🙂
Really? What dupes do you know of? I’d love to check ’em out, because I didn’t have anything very similar to it!
Really! 😀 Mally a Beauty has a few formulations with nearly spot on color!
Please check out Sugar!
Others have been Copper, Cupcake, and names as well as colors alter or only available for a certain time, but I’ve always had a champagne/Rose/golden beauty from Mally depending how I use it! Chanel Iridescent fluid eye color in Sand is exquisite as well but with less shift. I use an eye pencil brush. 🙂 <3 xo
I purchase at Mally’s site or Beauty.com ❤️
“Starlight Liners”
I hope that helps! They are phenomenal! 🙂
Thanks for the info, Lotus! I will definitely check ’em out! 🙂
Yay!!! I’m so excited for you!!!!! 😀
Pixi eyeliners from target make a similar colour to this one too…I think.
I’m surprised with the rating and review. I picked up this color for my birthday last week and love it. The only eyeliners I wear besides occasional Inglot gel come from this line. Almost all of them have applied really well and have stayed put all day, including on the lash line. There’s one color that I’ve had some skipping with is one of the dark purple shades.
I’m glad the formula works well for you, Kate!
The colour is very pretty indeed! I think the slightly pinky gold is actually flattering on quite a lot of different eye colours, so I’m pleased this one turned out better than their other offerings! (I still remember my disappointment over that blue one from a year or so ago – didn’t it get an F?)
I want to say maybe D-ish thereabouts, but it was low, lol!
Very nice colour. I might swatch it in stores out of curiosity but doubt I’ll buy it. I bought one of these in the colour Beryl last year and although it’s a pretty lilac that really brightens the eye the texture is hard and doesn’t apply easily. Disappointing for the price. 🙁
That’s pretty much my experience with these, Mylene! Pretty colors, less desirable texture!
The color is lovely and will instantly brighten eyes… but formula could have been better
The color is so lovely!
I actually purchased this after swatching it and noticing how beautifully the pencil glided across my skin. I didn’t notice any tugging, skipping, or fading. I love wearing it on my lower lashline, the metallic coppery color really brightens my eyes!
Happy to hear you’re loving it, Monica!
