Tell us what you love and hate about...

Smashbox

They’re only just getting more on my radar these days, so I don’t have too much to say since I haven’t tried a slew of their products in recent years. I am a huge fan of the Smashbox 24HR Eyeshadow Primer and their Be Legendary lipstick range!

Urban Decay Naked Palette–I still really love it and find it easy to use. Make Up For Ever Artist Shadows–still excellent. Anastasia Modern Renaissance–great color combination and quality.

What were the last three products you purchased despite poor reviews?

What were the last three products you purchased despite poor reviews?

Most of the buying I do is of newly released products, so I don’t usually see reviews yet, but the one that definitely comes to mind was the Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette, which was released by the brand prior to the release on Sephora. I only saw negative reviews on that one!

What's your favorite makeup "rule" to break?

What's your favorite makeup "rule" to break?

Probably not to wear all shimmer eyeshadow (like you have to incorporate mattes into your look). I also don’t care about wearing only warmer shades or only wearing makeup that “flatters” me.

How do you see your makeup routine changing 10 years from now?

How do you see your makeup routine changing 10 years from now?

It’s really hard to say! I hope it doesn’t change much – I still hope I experiment with color, finish, and new products. I expect that I’ll adapt and change certain types of base products more than anything else to suit my skin’s needs at the time!

How often do you declutter your makeup stash?

How often do you declutter your makeup stash?

If I’m very good, every six months or so. I also go through as I put newly acquired things away and try to get rid of things before they make it to long-term storage!
