What was the last tool that changed your routine for the better?

So I discovered–and I’m very late to the game–that there are magnetic picking tools, which are FANTASTIC at pulling single pans out of a palette so I no longer nick 40% of my eyeshadows trying to rearrange them!

Okay, okay! I bought the Slim 25″ (it extends) telescoping magnetic grabber with...

What kind of highlighter hues don't pique your interest?

I don’t find I reach for white gold or really silvery highlighters that often, probably because they are more contrasting against my skin tone!

What highlighter hues are you most drawn to?

I love duochrome (or multichrome, I’d imagine) highlighters of any and all varieties… I love the ability of it to really shift and play with any blush it is paired with. I also love more rose gold/mauve highlighters.

Matte Eyeshadow

I love the depth it can add to a look, and I think you can get a lot of intensity, too, that isn’t always possible with shimmer. The downsides is that matte eyeshadows are often not as blendable as shimmery shades or they can be too powdery/too stiff.

What kind of blush colors don't pique your interest?

What kind of blush colors don't pique your interest?

I love that they exist for others, but I don’t reach for less traditional shades of blush, like green or blue or full-on purple. I’ve found that while I love that they exist, really bright, intense blush shades (in any color)–like red–are always more work than I want to put in.

What blush colors are you most drawn to?

I love coral, mauve, and plum shades. For coral, I like all kinds–lighter, brighter, deeper, pinker, warmer, etc. For mauve/plum, I tend to gravitate toward muted variations the most.
