Buxom Swinger Full-Bodied LipstickBuxom Swinger Full-Bodied Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “vivid magenta.” It’s a cool-toned, blue-based magenta–it’s a mix of fuchsia and purple, but I would say it leans closer to purple than fuchsia (but still not a true purple!). It has a creamy, luminous finish. Urban Decay Anarchy and Maybelline Electric Fuchsia are pinker. Maybelline Hot Plum is darker. MAC Dear Diary is slightly brighter, more matte. MAC Night Blooming is purpler. MAC Candy Yum Yum is brighter. See comparison swatches.

The consistency is so lovely–creamy with slip but not so much slip that it just slides around. It stays in place, doesn’t bleed or feather during the six hours it wears (and it stains a bit fuchsia for another hour or so), and is such a comfortable, nicely hydrating formula to wear. The glossy finish gives lips a really plump, luscious look. Swinger is fully opaque with little product needed in order to achieve full color coverage.  The formula is also unscented and has no taste, and as a little bonus, it’s a bit more product at 0.13 oz. than most lipsticks.

Don’t be!! Have you tried trying one of the Maybelline Vivids? It’s a great formula, point blank, but the price point is awesome, so then you can try without too much guilt. You can wear it around the house to get used to seeing such bold color on your lips, or you can try wearing it lightly or mixed with balm or gloss to sheer out the color and work your way up!

Gorgeous!! I have Provacateur and it’s now my favorite of the approximately 60 lippies I own (some people say I’m obsessed, but I know you all understand) Now I think I may have to add this to my collection.

While not my favourite colour in this formula, it’s still impressive! I think this colour may have the potential to make me look really sallow. I see it pulling your skin in weird directions.. No offense meant as you can pretty much wear everything, this one just isn’t one of my fav on you.. Nice finish on the product as will the other colours.

I’m loving all these boxum full bodied colors! I don’t know whether to get this or exhibitionist. But I enjoy wearing these colors with minimal makeup. 😀 Thanks for the swatches.

OMG! I really love it! Thank you so much for reviewing and swatching this! I’ve been waiting for your review on this since I saw your recent posts on other new Buxom full bodied lipstick shades, and Swinger is my absolute favorite out of them =) By the way I am just curious, how would you compare Swinger with MAC Daddy’s little girl lipstick? Thanks!

Buxom lipstick is the absolute best. Their formulations are fantastic and you get more lipstick than the average lippie.

I am generally very reserved with what expletives I use, but every time I see a swatch of a lipstick from this line the first thing that comes to mind is “holy shit!”.

Is this shade close to Riri Boy by any chance? Hoping it is. I absolutely love Riri Boy. Im running out of it and not being able to get my hands on another one so I’ve been looking for a dupe. If anyone has anything in mind let me know. I prefer matte pigmented lipsticks so although MAC Up The Amp is very close I don’t like its finish 🙁
