Buxom Menace Full Bodied Lipstick
Buxom Menace Full Bodied Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “rich wine.” It’s a rich, brightened berry-red with cool undertones and very fine ruby red shimmer. It had mostly opaque color with a barely-there translucency that kept it looking more lightweight in comparison to other shades in this formula. The finish was still glossy and luminous, though. It wore well for six hours, and it left behind a berry-ish stain. When I wore it, the formula of Menace was somewhat hydrating. Guerlain Gigolo is a bit darker. Guerlain Orgueil is similar. Giorgio Armani #408 is more muted. Burberry Bright Plum is similar. See comparison swatches.
Two-Timer Full Bodied Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as an “earthy rose.” It’s a medium, rosy brown with some peach with a creamy, shiny finish. It full, opaque color coverage, and it glided on easily as the formula was very creamy and a cinch to apply. It wore well for five hours, and it was nicely hydrating the entire time. Givenchy Croisiere Coral is more orange, less glossy. Urban Decay Liar is rosier. Urban Decay Protest is a touch brighter. MAC Style Surge is less rosy. See comparison swatches.

Oh Dear God!!, i just clicked on both Guerlain dupes you posted and i just don’t know how i never saw those posts!!! my jaw dropped, i’m still drooling over those reds! They’re soooooo me. I went to see if there is place where to get them and they cost 62 francs each!!!!! As for now Dragon is the most expensive cosmetic i have and my hg lipstick too. I’m debatting if spend 40 francs and order 3 jersey maxi skirts from Usa let alone spend 124 francs in two lipsticks. It sucks.
Yes, Guerlain is a pricey one! 🙁 Maybe if you’re ever in need of a really luxe gift for your wish list for a birthday or something like that… a splurge item!

I have Two-Timer and I love the lipstick, but the cap WILL NOT stay on! It’s come off multiple times in my purse, even when it was in a very small zippered bag with nothing much else to bang around. Is this just mine, or has anyone else had this problem with these lipsticks? I would like to exchange it if it’s just mine, but I can’t own a lipstick that I can’t safely put into a purse… D:

Christine—thank you for being so meticulous with your reviews. “Somewhat hydrating” and “nicely hydrating the entire time” are definitely the sorts of things I pay attention to when narrowing down on a lipstick. Now, I just have to decide between Urban Decay Liar and Buxom Two-Timer. Decisions, decisions…which would you say is more hydrating?

They’re both really great, hydrating formulas but Buxom is probably a little more hydrating.
