Burberry Pink Sweet Pea Lip Glow Lipgloss ($27.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a vibrant fuchsia pink with subtle cool undertones and iridescent fuchsia micro-shimmer. Estee Lauder Violet Rain is a bit bolder and has a much larger shimmer (more like glitter). MAC Gimme That! is redder. NARS Hot Wired is also redder.

Burberry’s spring shades are an “introduction of radiant colours” to the brand’s beauty range, with Pink Sweet Pea meant to be a “playful” shade. I put that out there, because the Lip Glow formula is also described as “a hint of color” normally. So, good news to those who love more pigmented and opaque glosses, because Pink Sweet Pea is certainly that–semi-opaque to mostly opaque with an underlying translucency that gives the natural lip color an opportunity to peek through. Based on Burberry’s spring/summer collection, which is what the spring beauty range is supposed to have drawn inspiration from, everything is bold, bright, and colorful.

It is a really lovely gloss formula that’s gel-like and cushion-y when worn.  It’s a comfortable gloss to wear, and it’s lightly hydrating–it’s not going to outdo a dedicated lip balm, but it won’t leave you reaching for the nearest lip balm for a few hours post-wear.  It’s non-sticky and it has a floral scent, and while I’ve experienced it at a higher potency in other Lip Glows, it seemed subtler here.  Pink Sweet Pea wore four and a half hours on me.

\o/ I love, love, love this gloss, although I think I may love Mallow more. (Did you get that one, too?) So happy to hear you’re liking it!

I hav seen your product and I like them. I hav problems with normal lipgloss. I use to hav rash each time I use them. How am I sure its not going to be the same after using your lipgloss?

How do you take care of your lips when you do so many swatches? I can’t try more than 4 shades before my lips really hurt for the rest of the day. I try using makeup remover and oils to be gentle and complete, but it really limits how many colors I can try. How do you take care of your lips? New to this site, and am impressed, thanks for a great site!

I have this and I love it – love it – love it! It’s a wonderful spring shade and quite a departure from Burberry’s soft look. If you get your hands on Mallow Pink, try that one on as well. I thought Pink Sweat Pea would be the stand-out shade, but it turned out that Mallow Pink is a unique (by my stash) rosy red that’s universally flattering.

I have this gloss and it’s lovely. You can put on a sheer coating for a less dramatic look, or build it for more punch. It also leaves a very pretty soft stain on your lips after it wears off that does not dry out the lips. Everyone notice that Sweet Pea is a Limited Edition shade so get an extra if you love it.

Christine, you are my last resort. I am looking for a dupe or a repromote of a MAC product. It came in the Smoke n’ Mirrors compact. If one is looking at the opened compact – it is the shadow on the bottom left…Spell No 9. Everytime I go to my MAC counter, there are new employees who are not real familar with older collections. Please help – it’s my go to shader or transition color. Thanking you in advance, Carla
