Burberry Misty Light Glow Natural Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

Burberry Misty Light Glow Natural Blush ($42.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a pale, light-medium pink with subtle cool undertones and a matte finish. MAC Stay Pretty is slightly darker and cooler-toned. MAC Rosy Outlook is lighter and warmer. Illamasqua Naked Rose is similar but darker. MAC Launch Away is a touch lighter. MAC Oh So Fair is slightly warmer-toned.

The texture is incredibly soft and velvety–finely-milled, smooth, and sits nicely on the skin without being powdery or emphasizing imperfections. It’s blendable, and buildable, but it is a lighter shade, so it is better suited for light to light-medium complexions. On my medium skin tone, it is very subtle and adds a faint rosiness. It wore well for eight hours, and it started to fade after nine hours.  The texture and feel of Burberry’s blushes is amazing, but this color is less universal compared to some of the other shades in their catalog so medium and darker complexions may want to look to another shade.

I am not a blush fan. My oily skin can oxidize blushes pretty fast. Result is weird looking cheeks. So I gave up on the blushes. After chatting with Wendy Rowe I decided to try Misty. It is perfection. It gives a healthy glow. The pink looks so natural and it does NOT oxidize. Love it! 🙂

This looks lovely! My skin is beyond pale, so it would work for me, but since I already have Bobbi Brown Pastel Pink and Nude Rose, it wouldn’t seem that I need another pale, clear, coolish pink. At least I’ll keep telling myself that.

It looks soooo pretty! I think that would be great on my fair skin, but it’s so much! Somehow I see a light year’s amount of difference between its price and Benefit’s or Smashbox’s.

I’ve been on the prowl for a shade like this for awhile, and since I’ll be at Nordstrom next weekend, I’ll definitely check this one out. It may be a touch too “clear”, though. The Illamasqua shade is another one to check.

WOW!!! that’s one of the prettiest blushes/ most natural blushes I’ve seen against your complexion thus far. I’ll have to try this!!!!!

Stunning! I just ordered Chanel Star Dust (before it’s impossible to find) and Rose Initiale is next on my wishlist, but this is making me think twice. I adore Illamasqua’s Naked Rose, but have actually thought that it would be even prettier if it was a tad lighter (I’m super-pale), so Misty may have to be mine. Quick question…are Burberry’s blushes heavily scented? Thanks for a great review!

It’s the kind of shade that works really, really well on me, plus it’s Burberry, so…it’ll be mine eventually 🙂

Hi Christine!
I was wondering if you could you possibly post a comparison pic of this swatched next to Burberry Peony or do a written comparison? I’m trying to decide if they are too similar to own both and don’t have a counter to view them in person. I already have Peony and am really interested in this shade as well. Thanks so much!

This blush looks so incredibly pretty on you Christine! How does Misty compare to Chanel Rose Initiale? I’m about a NC15 and I actually need a pink blush. Would either of these work for me?

This would be perfect for my pale skin, especially in the winter when I’m in my snow camouflage state. Goodness knows I have plenty of blushes on hand, but I’ll have to keep this one in mind. 🙂
