Burberry Khaki (08) Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches

Burberry Khaki Eyeshadow
Burberry Khaki Eyeshadow

Burberry Khaki (08) Eyeshadow ($29.00 for 0.088 oz.) is an olive green with subtly warm-toned, brown undertones. It had a soft, smooth texture that applied well. The color payoff was good, though Burberry’s formula is confusing, as it’s called “Sheer Eyeshadow,” but then it’s supposed to have really true, long-lasting color. MAC Flourishing is greener. Lancome Designer is darker, greener. Dior Khaki Design #3 is more shimmery. bareMinerals Eureka is more shimmery. bareMinerals Speaker Box is darker, more shimmery. See comparison swatches.

Thanks for this review – this shadow looks to be a nice shade and well-pigmented. The packaging is well-presented also. However, I must ask the question…why do manufacturers even bother with including the sponge applicators these days when very few of us even use them anymore? It would be a much better option to include a small, inexpensive brush! Don’t ya think?

I dunno if i personally like this colour or not! i just wouldn’t know what to pair it with but it could be a nice alternative to a traditional grey smoky eye!

A question: what of these eyeshadows in your experience can be used wet without damaging the shadow – MAC regular eyeshadow, NARS and Urban Decay? if it gets damp will it go back to its original texture when it dries out? i’m afraid to try

I’m so tempted! Is that how you came up with the name? I’ve ordered Gold Trench and this one would look great with it, would it not??

such lovely colors! But that trench is so nude on you, I keep thinking where’s the color. I was thinking “oh another design house jumping on the cosmetics band wagon” but these are actually very well done, solid colors that go so well with the brand.

I definitely recommend Vert Khaki, as well as the original Khaki if you don’t already have it. I haven’t checked out Burberry in person yet, but the Chanel eyeshadows are beautiful and certainly different enough to justify buying, whether or not you pick up the Burberry. 🙂

Oops, I hit “Leave It” and meant to press “Love It” – this one looks unique! I’ll have to check these out in person sometime. I’m hoping Trench will work as a highlight/all over color for me like it does for you. It looks less shimmery than the one I use from Chanel.

Lotus, which is subtle and beautiful, but I don’t think it’s quite as seamless as Trench appears on you. I think my skintone is about the same depth as yours but it’s a bit cooler. Still, I’ll definitely have to check out the Burberry collection sometime. I’m really glad to see some pieces featured on here, your swatches tend to be among the most accurate. 🙂

Yes! I was waiting for a review on this one! 🙂 I read about it in a magazine a while ago… I think it was Vogue, and the reporter was describing how amazingly flattering this one is. Thanks Christine! I have to try this when I see it at my local Nordstrom.

this is the first thing from the burberry collection to really catch my eye! it’s a unique neutral, which i find hard to come by.

Hey goes.. are there any beauty gurus out there willing to do me a favour?
I live in Canada, and would like to order a Burberry lipstick, but Nordstom does not ship that particular item to Canada.
I’m looking for someone who would order it for me, and then send it to me. I could send the money through Paypal pronto.. If you know of any super nice person willing to help me out, let me know! dvsdawl_686@hotmail.com
