Burberry Earthy Light Glow Natural Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

Burberry Earthy Light Glow Natural Blush ($42.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a light-medium brown with subtle warm tan undertones. It has the barest sheen in its finish; not matte but not satin. Giorgio Armani #1 is similar but more beige. NARS Madly is darker, more orange. Burberry Russet is darker, redder. MAC Baby Don’t Go is lighter, less warm.

On my skin tone, Earthy is a light dusting of warmth and natural color; it’s a shade I can use as a light bronzer or as a contour. On lighter complexions, it could be used similarly, but it will be more noticeable as a blusher if desired. It will have a tendency to look invisible on darker complexions, because the color itself will be too similar to the natural pigmentation, but it might work as a finishing powder or as a highlighter on deeper skin tones. It doesn’t have an ashy base color, so it won’t look chalky on darker skin tones.

Burberry’s blush stands out for its incredibly soft, silky-smooth, and finely-milled texture.  It’s like crushed pearls to the touch.  It’s one of the softest blushes on the market, and it’s not even a smidgen powdery.  Those qualities enable it to apply beautifully and lay naturally against the skin.  It doesn’t look caked on no matter how much you apply, and it blends effortlessly.  It has good color payoff, but it’s buildable color, too.  Earthy lasted eight hours and had signs of fading after nine hours.

How similar is this to Korres Natural Blush? I’ve hit an indecent amount of pan on that blush and am looking for another blush like it- similar in effect, but a bit lighter in color and with a more natural finish for an everyday Fall/ Winter blush. To my eye, it seems like Natural is much warmer, with more of a shimmer-sheen, and is less taupe-y than Earthy.

What do you think, Christine? Will this work on my skin? I have very light skin with a warm undertone (think yellowish golden), though I flush a very cool-toned bright pink, and do so easily.

For reference, I wear:

•Late Spring/ Summer/ Early Fall= Lancome Teint Idole Fresh Wear 18 Hour in Ivoire 4N, MAC MSFN in Light Plus (which is a tiny bit dark on me), MAC Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Light Plus, and am generally about NW20 in MAC foundations.
•Fall/ Winter/ Early Spring= approximately MAC NW15, MAC MSFN in Light, MAC Studio Careblend in a mix of Light & Light Plus.

Thank you!

One day I will collect all the Burberry blushes 🙂 So far I only have two, but I have my eye on Russet and Blossom next. This one I think would maybe work as a contour on me because I’m so fair, but I still want it 🙂

I have Peony and Cameo at the moment. I also have the Sheer Summer Glow highlighter from this summer’s launch. I think next I’m getting Blossom, but it may be something else depending on what the SA says 🙂

I have been dying to try this blush but was hesitant to buy it sight unseen. Thank you so much for your review- I can’t wait to order this!

I LOVE this look! Your eyes are almost electric with that pop of color at the bottom and it goes really, really well with the slightly bronzy skin and natural-looking lips. I have been meaning to get Earthy for a while now–I think it’d be a great intermediate contouring powder for a noob like me!

First of all, you look AMAZING. I think this is one of your bet looks ever. Second, I love your beauty blog. I found it by accident, and it has turned me on to so many amazing products- UDPP, Zoya remover, Seche Vite, the list goes on. Thank you for your honest reviews and great photos!

I think I would pass… I can’t imagine a skin tone that would be good for this. Am I the only one who thinks it just makes the skin looks dirty?

Christine, how does this compare to MAC Sculpt?

I’m in the market for a new light bronzer / contour product and this might be something to invest in. I know how much you like MAC Sculpt but I think it may be too cool to work as a bronzer. I’d so appreciate your input!
