Burberry Coral Lip Glow Lipgloss Review, Photos, Swatches

Burberry Coral Lip Glow Lipgloss ($27.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a brightened orange with a hint of coral and copper shimmer. MAC Geo Pink is pinker. MAC Eclectic Edge is more orange, darker. MAC So Bad is similar but less shimmery.

As part of an attempt to bring more vibrant/pigmented shades into Burberry’s range, Coral is a nice addition–it’s semi-opaque to mostly opaque with some translucency where the natural lip color will come through but is covered for the most part. It applied evenly and smoothly, without settling into lip lines, or feathering/bleeding during wear. I didn’t have any issues with the shimmer traveling during the four and a half hours this lasted on my lips. It’s somewhat hydrating–not the most hydrating but not at all drying. Burberry’s Lip Glows are non-sticky, gel-like, and are a cushion-y, comfortable gloss to wear that has a light floral scent.

This particular shade is not my cup of tea, but I adore Burberry’s lip glows. They are simply the best lip glosses I have tried and what I love the most is the fact that they are truly non sticky. I have four of them (Blush No.04, Tea Rose No.05, Cameo No.08 and Nude Beige No.09) and I wear them pretty much exclusively nowadays.
Out of the new ones for Spring/Summer, I’m interested in getting No.19 Mallow Pink and No.21 Fondant Pink (available in March). Hopefully you’ll be reviewing these two soon :).

Hi Christine, I’m a long time loyal fan from Hong Kong and I’ve been following temptalia for a very long time. Recently I came across an account on weibo, which is the chinese mainland social media platform very similar to twitter, that claims to be temptalis’s official site, but looks extremely dodgy with links that go to a mainland (not very popular) blog platform. I was wondering whether this was done with your permission? Just trying to understand whether I could share this piece of information with my friends as “temptalia’s official weibo”, or some badly-done imitation….

(sorry if i offended anyone, but if that person happens to be your official agent, then he/she had done a terrible job.)

Hi KTKUK!

We are not on Weibo, so it’s not an official channel of ours at all. I have tried to look at it, but you need to be a member of Weibo, and when I went to translate the registration form, it looked like you needed to be a resident of China? One of the fields to sign up translated as “Passport.” When I clicked ‘send free activation code,’ I did not receive anything – but I don’t know if it’s because my phone is a U.S. number. I’ve also tried to figure out how to contact either the person who created it and/or Weibo for impersonation but wasn’t very successful. If you know of the right place to point me, that would be great! I’m not sure if Weibo has a method to report copyright violations or impersonations.

Thank you so much for the clarification!! I checked this morning and that person changed his name and deleted all temptalia contents and pretended nothing happened…I’m not sure is this because you reported him or he saw this post and freaked out or…whatever! ! either way they’re gone, yay!!!!

I don’t know if I should be mad or thrilled that I now have so many nice things to buy for my spring look 🙂 Oh my poor wallet. Nordstrom always lures me in with one of those Nordstrom Notes and it never makes a dent in what I end up purchasing. For awhile I was struck on the Armani color, but the Burberry just seems so much nicer. Does anyone who the parent company of Burberry is?

From what I understand, Burberry isn’t owned by a parent, and they’re a public company. Previously, Inter Parfums had a license for Burberry fragrance/beauty, but I believe they’re taking it in-house at present and the two are in a transition period.

Christine, I’m usually a silent observer, but I must tell you how beautiful this coral gloss looks on you! It is so elegant and sophisticated. Oh my goodness! I wonder if it will look half as good on me as it does you!
