Bobbi Brown Rose High Shimmer Lipgloss ($24.00 for 0.23 fl. oz.) is described as a “true pink glitter.” It has very fine pink and white shimmer and sparkle in a seemingly clear base. MAC Impossibly Sweet, (LE, $15.00) MAC Like Venus (P, $20.00), and MAC Pleasure Principle (LE, $20.00) are all very, very similar. While Bobbi Brown Pink Tulle (P, $24.00), Bobbi Brown Pastel (P, $24.00), Bobbi Brown Bellini (P, $24.00), and Bobbi Brown Bare Sparkle (P, $24.00) are all variations on nearly clear base with sparkle. See comparison swatches.

This is my all-time favorite lipgloss formula and has been for a couple of years now (basically, since they launched). I love the high-shine finish, sparkling, glimmering shimmer in them, longer-wear, and hydrating, comfortable feel. Rose lives up to most of those things, but it’s obviously very sheer, and there are several shades in the range that are similar–clear base, pretty shimmer/sparkle–so they’re starting to feel redundant. It’s hydrating when worn, comfortable to wear with a non-sticky texture, is mint-scented, and has glossy, sparkly finish. It wears three hours on me, which is a little longer than average for such a sheer shade but shorter than other shades in the range. It’s not supposed to be an opaque formula–the emphasis is definitely on sparkle–but this shade could use a little more sparkle.

duuuuude!!! What have you got on your eyes?!
It would be awesome if you could start doing a few eye looks thrown in too (although you probably don’t have time, so i’ll resort to asking you in the comments xP)

I really wish Bobbi Brown would release a High Shimmer Lipgloss with true pink/red sparkles. The pink ones they’ve released are a bit too pale/white for my liking.

Just agreeing with everyone else, your eyemakeup is stunningly beautiful. Makes me long for some lovely bright shadows. Must take a look at the Bare Mineral counter next time I “need” some makeup.
The gloss on the other hand, though pretty isn’t worth the cost for me,

Christine, do you recall what face products you were wearing in this look? Your complexion is absolutely stunning! I wish I had the guts to try a bold eye look like this, but I never seem to verge too far from warm-toned neutrals – golds, bronzes, peaches, champagnes, espresso and chocolate taupes!…the only true ‘colours’ I have found to work and will unhesitatingly use is tones of mauve, pink or purple or, my favourite, a deep purple shadow as a liner and in the very outer-v to accentuate my otherwise neutral look.

Love your blog! xox

This is too sheer to make it on my list, especially as I have so much love for Pink Tulle. Always glad to see a review of a High Shimmer Lipgloss though!! And yes, your eye look is bangin’! Were you testing the shades?

Do you find the peppermint in these glosses to be drying at all? And do these glosses have that tingly/plumping sensation? Just curious because minty glosses are always a little drying for me….Thanks!
