Bobbi Brown Pink Sorbet Rich Color Lipgloss ($23.00 for 0.24 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft pink raspberry.” I’m not seeing raspberry; there are none of those berry tones you’d expect to see. This is more like strawberry milkshake pink if we’re going to go for a berry concoction as a descriptor! I’d describe as a soft, light-medium pink with subtle yellow undertones and white shimmer. It does bear some resemblance to Angel Pink, which I reviewed previously, except this has shimmer, is a touch lighter, and is pinker. The only other shade that seemed similar was Chanel COnfidence, which is darker and sheerer.

Bobbi Brown describes this formulas as having “the full color coverage of a lipstick” but with “The shine of a gloss.” It’s also supposed to “moisturize, condition, and last throughout the day without feathering.” Pink Sorbet has great color coverage–it really delivers on the full color coverage one is expecting. Despite its lighter hue, it applies evenly for the most part with very slight color lines if you press your lips together. The texture is thicker than a balm, but thinner than the average gloss–it has some slip, but it doesn’t slide all over the place. It’s non-sticky and wore for four hours without drying my lips out. Like the brand’s other glosses, it is mint-scented.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Christine, I have to say that the little birth mark on your lips is such a gift for us to measure how opaque a lipstick/gloss is!
