Bobbi Brown Pink Coral (31) Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

Bobbi Brown Pink Coral Blush ($26.00 for 0.13 oz.) is described as a “bright nectar.” It’s a pink-coral with a matte finish and warm undertones. NARS Soulshine #1 is pinker. Edward Bess Secret Affair is warmer. Tom Ford Flush is brighter, more orange. NARS Deep Throat is more shimmery. MAC Supercontinental is lighter, more orange. Chanel Fleur de Lotus is warmer, more shimmery. See comparison swatches.

Not to be confused with Pink Coral from the Shimmer Blush range (which is numbered 8, and this is 31, for total clarity) that has been out for sometime, this is new for fall. The new shade for fall is also limited edition, and it’s very un-fall like (relative to what we typically see), which is always nice. The texture is soft, finely-milled, and slightly powdery. Though powdery, it does blend out easily and applies evenly; it also doesn’t look powdery on the skin (which is most important). It had fairly good color payoff, but the powderiness made it readily sheer out on drier skin. Pink Coral wore well for seven and a half hours, but it was noticeably faded around the edges after eight hours of wear.

This is not a blush I would reach for in Fall. It has such a light/bright spring feel to it. Also,I thought looking at the swatches I would really like this blush on you, but I don’t and I can’t put my finger on why. Perhaps the finish isn’t working for me. I think both TF Flush and Chanel Fleur de Lotus are far prettier choices.

It’s just not blended in well, and she has no eye makeup on to balance the bright color on her cheeks. Her lip color is sheer as well. Christine seems to like bright colors like this, which she alluded to in her remark that this was not a typical fall color, I am sure it would look great with a fully made up face, but this presentation works better to demonstrate the color for us.

I have so many pink corals now, so this one really doesn’t do anything for me. I’ve never been a big Bobbi Brown fan in the first place.

I got an email offer pre-selling the rich chocolate eye palette from this line.
Are you going to get to review that one soon? It looks like a great neutral/warm eye shadow palette, and although I probably have similar colors, its always nice to have them all in one place. I love fall colors, because they look best with my fair skin and red hair, so this is the best time of year for me to find makeup that suits me (although that doesn’t seem to stop me the rest of the year!)
