Bobbi Brown Bronze Brightening Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Bobbi Brown Bronze Brightening Blush
Bobbi Brown Bronze Brightening Blush ($45.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “bronze hue.” It’s a medium-dark tan brown with warm, yellow-orange undertones and a gold, frosted shimmer. MAC Delphic (LE, $33.00) is yellower. Urban Decay Strip Bronzer (P) is slightly darker. Tom Ford Beauty Unabashed Bronzer (LE, $90.00) is lighter. Tarte Park Ave. Princess (P, $29.00) is less shimmery. Too Faced Sun Bunny #1 (P) is similar. Wet ‘n’ Wild Bikini Contest (P, $3.99) is slightly less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
It’s a new, limited edition shade from Bobbi Brown’s Surf & Sand collection for summer. It contains three shades, but the size of each really means that they’re best used together, as the strips are quite narrow otherwise. You could also lean left or right when picking up the powder to go lighter or heavier on the bronze shade. The texture was fairly soft, smooth, and not powdery, so the application was straight forward but it could have been slightly more blendable. Surprisingly, despite the more frosted finish, it had a softer, more luminous effect on the skin that didn’t emphasize pores or imperfections. The color wore well for eight hours before starting to fade.
Bronze
LELimited Edition. $45.00.

You look so beautiful Christine! Which lipstick are you wearing, it looks amazing on you.
Too Faced Melted Candy!
That shade is on my wish list. 😉
Christine could this be a bronzer or is it specifically a blush? I’m in the market for a bronzer – would you have a recommendation? I’ve recently purchased Guerlain’s LDP foundation (OMG!! amazing!!) and BB and LOVE them but need a bronzer for summer – would love your opinion – are the Guerlain ones awesome? (nothing too shimmery though). THANKS SO MUCH!
It’s basically both, lol! It’s more a bronzer than a blush, but it could be used as a blush if you liked the color. Guerlain’s Terracotta bronzer range is tops – and not too shimmery at all 🙂
That’s all I needed to hear thank you. Guerlain’s Bronzer will be in my hands by the end of the week. 🙂
Hope you love it! 🙂 They are very well-known for the Terracotta bronzers, so fingers crossed!
Pretty in the pan…..pass for me though. Not sure why but I havent loved /wanted anything from her Surf&Sand collection. The collection seems very “forced” somehow..
I like the concept, but I don’t know about the actual products themselves…
Definitely my favorite out of the two new LD brightening blushes. I wasn’t a fan of how orange it was at first but I find that if you use a small enough brush you can focus a bit more on the two lighter shades in the pan.
I totally get the versatility of a multi-colored blush like this, but man, I prefer the ease of just one color and not worrying about leaning left or right, lol!
That looks really pretty on you, Christine. t almost seems to give a contoured, sculpted look to your cheeks, too!
Thanks a lot, Carolyn!
It makes you look as if you had a weekend at the beach. Looks good on you.
I think I’d look very wrong if I tried it. Blushers and my skin aren’t all that friendly. It’s hard to find a good one. I probably just haven’t found my shade, yet.
Did the Tom Ford Beauty Unabashed Bronzer really cost $90?
It’s in a palette, so the whole palette was $90! Although I know he has a standalone bronzer, which is the size of a pie plate, and it’s probably around there, lol.
It looks gorgeous on you!
I think it’s more for warm-toned skin though.
It is a very warm-toned blush!
It’s too warm for me but man it will work very well for many of the lovely warmer ladies out there. I love her finishes on these types of things!
Glad you like the finish, at least!
It looks stunning on you. This looks so beautiful! I hope our local retailer will carry this, gonna check this weekend. 🙂
Hope you can find it! 🙂
I was hoping this collection would be available in Europe but no luck! 🙁 looks beautiful on you Christine!
I’m surprised it isn’t since it seems like a regular launch!
I know it’s available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Or else online?
The colours of this aren’t really up my alley so I will be passing!
Makes sense! 🙂
Is it more yellow , lighter than Betty Lou Manizer , if you remember? Thank you for your time .
Lighter than Betty Lou for sure – not as brown, more orange!
Hehe, I like the two light shades, but the actual bronzer is definitely too dark and orange for this vampire! It’s something I find quite often, actually – they put a bronzer together with a blush/highlighter that I really like…but I can’t justify getting the compact when a huge portion of it is the bronze part.
Not that there aren’t one million nice individual blushes and highlighters out there, LOL. It’s mostly just the compacts… 😉
Split pans look prettier, I think, but I find I prefer solid shades so you always know what you’re getting!
Lovely bronzer looks stunning on you.. and that lip color.. you are glowing Christine.. 🙂 🙂
Aw, thanks Poo!
The summer collections are killing me right now lol. There’s so much stuff I want! I really love these swatches. I hope it sticks around for a bit because I really want it
Hopefully it does!
