Bobbi Brown Bronze Brightening Blush ($45.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “bronze hue.” It’s a medium-dark tan brown with warm, yellow-orange undertones and a gold, frosted shimmer. MAC Delphic (LE, $33.00) is yellower. Urban Decay Strip Bronzer (P) is slightly darker. Tom Ford Beauty Unabashed Bronzer (LE, $90.00) is lighter. Tarte Park Ave. Princess (P, $29.00) is less shimmery. Too Faced Sun Bunny #1 (P) is similar. Wet ‘n’ Wild Bikini Contest (P, $3.99) is slightly less shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

It’s a new, limited edition shade from Bobbi Brown’s Surf & Sand collection for summer. It contains three shades, but the size of each really means that they’re best used together, as the strips are quite narrow otherwise. You could also lean left or right when picking up the powder to go lighter or heavier on the bronze shade. The texture was fairly soft, smooth, and not powdery, so the application was straight forward but it could have been slightly more blendable. Surprisingly, despite the more frosted finish, it had a softer, more luminous effect on the skin that didn’t emphasize pores or imperfections. The color wore well for eight hours before starting to fade.

Christine could this be a bronzer or is it specifically a blush? I’m in the market for a bronzer – would you have a recommendation? I’ve recently purchased Guerlain’s LDP foundation (OMG!! amazing!!) and BB and LOVE them but need a bronzer for summer – would love your opinion – are the Guerlain ones awesome? (nothing too shimmery though). THANKS SO MUCH!

It makes you look as if you had a weekend at the beach. Looks good on you.
I think I’d look very wrong if I tried it. Blushers and my skin aren’t all that friendly. It’s hard to find a good one. I probably just haven’t found my shade, yet.
Did the Tom Ford Beauty Unabashed Bronzer really cost $90?

Hehe, I like the two light shades, but the actual bronzer is definitely too dark and orange for this vampire! It’s something I find quite often, actually – they put a bronzer together with a blush/highlighter that I really like…but I can’t justify getting the compact when a huge portion of it is the bronze part.

Not that there aren’t one million nice individual blushes and highlighters out there, LOL. It’s mostly just the compacts… 😉
