Sugar Beet

Bite Beauty Sugar Beet Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a medium purple with subtle, cool undertones and a creamy, glossy finish. It was richly pigmented in one layer, and the color applied evenly but had a tendency to sit in my lip lines more than other shades in the range. I don’t think it was very noticeable from a normal viewing distance, though. The texture was smooth, creamy, and slightly thicker compared to the average shade in this formula. It wore well for five hours and was moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview

$24.00/0.25 oz. - $96.00 Per Ounce

The Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick is supposed to be "moisture-rich, high-pigment" in a "liquified" consistency that has a "creamy, comfortable application." It's a lightweight, fluid consistency that was neither runny nor thick on the lips. It does not dry down and feels mostly like a liquid-form of a lipstick (and not so much like a gloss). The majority of the range was incredibly pigmented and spread evenly across the lips. Some shades had a bit of color that sat in my lip lines, which was noticeable from a normal viewing distance with a few but not all. It had a lightly tacky feel on the lips, which helped to adhere as none of the shades I have tested have feathered on me. The formula was lightly hydrating, wore for four to seven hours, and had a light, herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste.

If you've been following Bite for awhile, you might remember the Cashmere Lip Creams from a few years ago, which were also a liquid formula. Unfortunately, I had a couple leak on me and ended up tossing all of them out of fear, so I couldn't do a true comparison, but from my memory, it was slightly thicker and less tacky while both had a more natural shine after initial application.

Yucca

Bite Beauty Yucca Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a medium brown with strong, warm undertones and a creamy, glossy finish. The liquid lipstick had a smooth, spreadable consistency that wasn’t too thick or too thin. It applied evenly and didn’t emphpasize my lip lines, but it did not smooth them out as much as some of the higher performing shades have in this formula. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer, and it stayed on nicely for six hours and kept my lips hydrated.

I really love yucca the second one it does look so lovely with your skin stone and hair colour. It’s great that they wear well too I need too see if i can get these in the UK as I love trying new things for my blog.

I’m glad both did well, especially Yucca. Yucca was on my list, but after reading this review I’d like to have it.

Shades on opposite ends of the warm/ cool spectrum, yet both look lovely! Too bad that Sugar Beet is likely much too cool-toned for me, or I know I’d buy it. And Yucca may be a little too warm on me, but maybe not. May need to try it on at some point!
