I look forward to the comparison of their Los Angeles to PMG’s Lust Angeles (one of my favorite lip colors, formulas, and packaging ever).

I was thinking about Toronto (since it’s the next best thing because there’s no Montreal) and this colours is not for me at all.

Thanks for the swatches and saving me money!

It’s not even a very “Toronto-y” colour…certainly not the red of the Canadian flag. It would have been nice if Bite could have included a few more Canadian cities (maybe even Ottawa) and hit on a red that was more like the colour of our flag (New York’s red would have worked nicely and since apples, even the BIG apple, come in a variety of reds, NYC could have had the more orange-y red that Toronto got stuck with!

I agree more Canadian cities ! , I live in Vancouver , they should just do 2 “ a cool toned “True North “and a maple leaf red “Strong and Free” ?

Mariella Avatar

…and why not include Halifax and, as Karine suggested, Montreal (or Quebec City)? We’re a big and diverse country and I thought (though I could be wrong) that Bite was a Canadian company, at least originally…

I agree, I’m actually pretty upset that Bite only included one Canadian city despite it being a Canadian company. They seem to focus too much on their American customers. One example, they’ve opened quite a few lip labs in the U.S. but only have the one location in Toronto. How about one for us on the west coast? I used to collect all of their amuse bouche lipsticks but I don’t think I’ll pick up anything from this collection since none of the cities have any special meaning for me. I’m one disappointed Vancouverite 🙁

Even thinking that you have too many reds is sacrilege!! I love that shade and I am also considering San Francisco. Not a shade I would normally pick as it runs a lot warmer and I avoid anything too orange on my lips but still have a hankering to try it!

Haha — the colors I like do actually correspond to cities I like — Toronto, New York… and I’m from Atlanta (though no longer live there).

I despise LA and don’t really like Miami or Dallas… and sure enough, the LA lipstick is horrendous to me, and the Miami and Dallas ones I just wouldn’t ever wear.

Wish they’d made a Boston one! Maybe brick brown, for the old Beacon Hill houses? I too would endorse a Montreal color! I vote for a berry.

The Amuse Bouche formula is a good one. Really comfortable to wear and wears quite a while for me. That isn’t saying much because I am a lip worrier and eat my lipstick off pretty quickly. You would think that would make me go through them faster but alas, still over 200 in my stash. If you are interested, I think it is a great company to buy from.

Would’ve been fun if they used some bold colors for these. I’m thinking:

NYC – taxi cab yellow
Chicago – st. Patty’s day green river
Dallas – black oil slick
LA – grey smog (sorry, LA friends!)
Miami – white sand
Etc etc.

I like what they have, but they aren’t that special.

I love your idea! It would have made this lipstick collection unique. I have another one to add: San Francisco could be gold. One difference—in my opinion—I see Miami as being teal. (White sand makes me think more of Caribbean islands.)

Being that I’m from the SF Bay Area, the orange color is TOTALLY off. The real color of the bridge is Pantone International Orange. It’s a rusty-red, like MAC’s Chili. Toronto’s color would have been better for San Francisco IMHO.

These are all gorgeous shades…I especially like San Francisco (my hometown and current city), Miami, Toronto, and Dallas. Bite Beauty never disappoints with their lipstick line…

I just took a trip to Atlanta and I’m totally getting my best friend and I the Atlanta lipstick to commemorate it!!! I think they should’ve had a Las Vegas one tho!!! (Where I’m from, but also, where people road trip to from EVERYWHERE!!)

I looked all over for my city but alas, Thompson Falls, Montana didn’t make the cut, LOL!
As usual, the berries, pinks and reds appeal to me. I wish I could pull off San Francisco and may pick it up just to try. With a slightly “bronzier” (new word) face, I might be able to pull it off. I am amazed with how this blog has opened my eyes to trying some shades I would never have dreamed of trying before. They all look like they swatched well and given that I like the formula, I could see getting at least 1 or 2.
