Bite Beauty Mauvember 2017 Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick Review, Photos, Swatches

Mauvember 2017
Bite Beauty Mauvember 2017 Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.25 oz.) is a medium, rosy mauve with cool undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It was richly pigmented in a single layer, and the liquid lipstick applied evenly and smoothly across the lips and did not emphasize the natural texture on my lips. The formula was lightweight, comfortable to wear, and long-wearing (five and a half hours of wear!) that felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$24.00/0.25 oz. - $96.00 Per Ounce
The Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick is supposed to be "moisture-rich, high-pigment" in a "liquified" consistency that has a "creamy, comfortable application." It's a lightweight, fluid consistency that was neither runny nor thick on the lips. It does not dry down and feels mostly like a liquid-form of a lipstick (and not so much like a gloss). The majority of the range was incredibly pigmented and spread evenly across the lips. Some shades had a bit of color that sat in my lip lines, which was noticeable from a normal viewing distance with a few but not all. It had a lightly tacky feel on the lips, which helped to adhere as none of the shades I have tested have feathered on me. The formula was lightly hydrating, wore for four to seven hours, and had a light, herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste.
If you've been following Bite for awhile, you might remember the Cashmere Lip Creams from a few years ago, which were also a liquid formula. Unfortunately, I had a couple leak on me and ended up tossing all of them out of fear, so I couldn't do a true comparison, but from my memory, it was slightly thicker and less tacky while both had a more natural shine after initial application.

What a perfect color for your eye look, looks so good on you. To me this looks more berry than mauve. Will have to check this one out in person.
Nice to see the liquid lipstick get a great score. I really like the glossy cream finish. Can you tell me if there is any transfer?
I forgot to add that I had wanted Barberry & missed out on it so I’m happy this is a dupe. I also didn’t realize how close PMG Pink Ultraness is to them. It’s been on my wishlist. Which one would you pick?
The finishes are different so I’d pick the one you’d be more apt to wear, and it’s hard for me to say as I haven’t not tested Pink Ultraness yet!
There is transfer, as it doesn’t dry down or set!
Oh rats. Do you think it’s similar to Colourpop Molly or does it transfer even more?
Oh, this transfers more for sure!
Thanks so much for your help Christine! Despite how beautiful it is, along with the great review, I think that much transfer would probably drive me crazy. On the other hand, it is for a good cause 😉
I got this on the first day of the Rouge sale and I LOVE it. One of the best colors in a very excellent range, and it’s for a good cause!
This may actually beat out UD Rebel into my cart! I didn’t think I’d like the multi-stick as much as I would this, and your back-to-back reviews on both confirmed this hunch I had. Thank you for having both up for instant comparison!
I am looking for a berry lipstick for winters and this is the perfect color!
Do you know if they be releasing a Mauvember bullet lipstick this year? (Or did I miss it already??)
They only mentioned the liquid lipstick / Multistick from what I saw.
Thanks! I’ve learned I really prefer bullet lipsticks ; looks like I’ll be saving some money.
I really like the Mauvember shade! Glad to see it again
Just read that it benefits a men’s cancer charity. I was personally affected by this as well, what a good cause!
Man this is a beauty, but I don’t care for liquid lipstick.. fortunately, McGrath Pink Ultraness jumped into my Big S cart at the last minute this weekend. I am smitten with the luxtreme formula.
I have my eye on Pink Ultraness too, it seems like everyone raves about the LuxeTrance formula! Since this liquified lipstick transfers so much, I may end up with PMG PU, I don’t need both. Actually, I don’t need either of them. ;-P
I love the formula too, but I’m afraid PatMcG is turning out to be one of those brands that, however wide its shade range, I can’t find a good color in. Same with Anastasia, Too Faced, Bobbi Brown, and some others. I guess it’s saving me $40, but I’m still disappointed!
It’s a nice color, but I was hoping for something deeper. I’m glad it performed really well though! That’s great for anyone who’s buying it. 🙂
I’ve worn mine twice this weekend and I love it! Honestly, it’s a must have color in my book!
Hi Christine
I bought this almost entirely because of your A+ rating, and I’m so glad I did — I looooove it! You were spot-on about the color, formula, and wear. My first Bite Beauty purchase, and it’s a winner. Thanks!
YAYYY!!!
