No not another tube! The regular Agave Lip Mask kills my thumbs because it’s so difficult to get it out of the tube.

I was literally just thinking about this last night – wondering when they were going to create the lip mask with a tint… though I was hoping they would change the packaging, since it can be quite messy in that tube!

I love the flavor too! Some lip balm/treatments have a chemical taste! Do you have a swatch of the new color Christine?
I was at the Bite Lip Lab and saw the product. Same packaging.
It looks like they’ve changed the tube. Yes! I already have the original so I technically don’t need this one but I want it. I hate the old packaging
I have the original, colourless lip mask and love it. I can`t really see the need for a tinted one but this really is a fabulous product that does what it promises. For those hating the tube (with good reason), using a thick needle or a bodkin and sticking it into the tube is the best solution and worth the effort. I found some knitting tool – I don`t think it`s a cabling needle but it`s clearly something I bought and needed when I used to knit – in my craft drawer and it is the best thing because it is blunt, so no danger of stabbing myself.
How on earth is something tinted being marketed as an overnight treatment?
Hate Jack Black..love this stuff. Kicking myself. Just bought another tube of the old variety last week and as per some of the other comments, the old tube is killer on the thumbs, I too love the taste of this stuff and hell yes, I would totally wear this during the day even though it is a lip mask. This could perhaps usurp my love for Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine which is my current day wear lip balm.
Oh boy…I love the original Agave Lip Mask so this one is definitely catching my eye! Rose gold pearl sounds so gorgeous. I really don’t want to cave into another purchase but I think I will eventually do so… 🙁
Is it only me? I think the original smells like motor oil when I put it on… Lol. I’ll def try this out to see if it has a better scent.
I think the only thing different may be the color.
I agree with you about the smell. I love the product though. So, I usually hold mu breath for the 3-4 seconds it takes me to apply it and then I can’t really smell it anymore.
I passed on this one. But may look into again now that I hear they may have changed the packaging? So many people complained that it leaked from the sides even when closed.
Lol, is it important to have tinted lips at night? 😀
I’m curious to know how many people here use it during the day, when they go out, etc. I personally just use it at night, but I would use it on a bad lip day if I’m lounging at home. I don’t think I would go out with it.
This is exactly what I was thinking. Why do I need color in a treatment I put on my lips while I sleep????
I love this stuff, and I don’t even mind the old tube. Perhaps I have abnormally strong thumbs, but considering I only need such a small amount (a little goes a long way for me) I actually like the fact the product doesn’t just squirt out like some tubes can cause. Bad news, the tube I have will surely last many many more months which means I won’t be getting this one anytime soon. And yes, I would totally rock a colored lip masque at night and during the day especially as I sometimes torture my lips in the scorching heat and sun.
OMG, I am so excited!!! I L-O-V-E the Agave Lip Mask. There is nothing better than getting home from work, hopping into my pajamas, slapping on a generous amount of the lip mask on my lips, while sitting down with my cats to watch a little TV. It makes me SMILE … and with beautifully hydrated lips, I might add!
I am so looking forward to slapping on that new formula all day and night. It will become my HG lip look.
BTW, for those of you out there who have had a problem in the past with their packaging, it has changed. The tube is now more pliable. That should make it much easier on you.

Can I just rant here for a second, Christine? I own the original Lip Mask and I use it every single night and it is coming to an end, maybe a quarter of it left, and for weeks now I have been dealing with holes in the packaging where I get the balm allll over me in various spots and the packaging itself is flaking off onto my balmy hands. Why on earth would they continue with this packaging? I know I am not the only one feeling this frustration over a product that I do know works quite well but is horribly packaged. Now that this new balm is tinted, I imagine it would be nice to use during the day, but I don’t dare pop it into my purse if it is going to be messy and split open in spots. Ugh. Thanks for letting me get it out 🙂
This can be a great fix for dry lips if I will be sporting a matte red lip next day!! 🙂

I wish they wouldn’t use the word ‘miracle’ in ad copy, especially when they’re trying to do the science thing with ‘trans-resveratrol’. Science is not a miracle if it works. It’s just science that works (although whether or not trans-resveratrol in any concentration actually does anything for your lips is up for debate, I feel).
Sorry, that got oddly ‘annoyed scientist’…
But we need oddly annoyed scientist to chime in! It helps educate us folks who don’t know the ins and outs 🙂
I’ve never tried their Agave Lip Mask. It’s for nighttime; why do you need a color? And is it better than Fresh’s Lip Treatment? that’s what I’ve been using for years.

I recently got a sample and it’s not the same texture. The taste of it is slightly different as well. I thought it would have a little shimmer to it. On my lips it looks like a gold frost. NOT a good look! LOL! I ‘ll stick to the original!
