Bite Beauty Heather & Pecan Butter Cream Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Bite Beauty Heather Butter Cream Lipstick

Bite Beauty Heather Butter Cream Lipstick ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “dusty rose.” It’s a muted, pink-coral with warm undertones and a glossy finish. The texture was creamier with more slip than other shades I’ve tried, which made it apply with some streaking. It had mostly opaque pigmentation and lasted for four hours on me, while the formula was hydrating while worn. Marc Jacobs Beauty Roleplay (110) (P, $30.00) is more matte, cooler-toned. Estee Lauder Eccentric (P, $30.00) is lighter, pinker. Charlotte Tilbury Bitch Perfect (P, $32.00) is lighter. Bite Beauty Centifolia (LE, $28.00) is brighter, warmer. bareMinerals Feel the Love (LE) is darker. Marc Jacobs Beauty Understudy (114) (P, $30.00) is brighter, more matte. Urban Decay Liar (P, $22.00) is similar. MAC Razzledazzler (P, $16.00) is lighter. Guerlain Garance (P, $51.00) is darker, pinker. Buxom Two-Timer (P, $21.00) is warmer. Bite Beauty Pecan Butter Cream Lipstick ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “warm dusty pink.” It’s a medium, muted, peachy brown with warm undertones and a soft shine. It had rich, opaque color payoff that glided on evenly and smoothly. The texture was slightly thicker than average but not overly heavy. It was hydrating without sliding around, and it wore well for five hours on me. I was surprised to find few close shades to it (from what I’ve reviewed).ColourPop Button (P, $5.00) is lighter, more matte. Bite Beauty Leche (P, $24.00) is much lighter. Bite Beauty Amaretto (P, $24.00) is lighter, more matte. NARS Barbara (P, $32.00) is lighter, pinker. Maybelline Touchable Taupe (940) (P, $7.49) is darker. Too Faced Sweet Maple (P, $22.00) is darker, richer. MAC Glamour Era (P, $22.00) is darker. MAC Mocha (P, $16.00) is darker, more matte. MAC Double Shot (P, $16.00) is darker. I’m liking this line because it seems to be all mlbb colors for different skin tones. But the blunt tip will probably keep me away. The way I apply from the tube, I rely on the pointed tip of a traditional lipstick. I bought a few of the UD Revolution ones, and even though they’re great, the way they’re shaped is tricky for me. It looks like you haven’t had a problem though, so I think I’m just being stubborn lol.

These aren’t my colors (the peachy orange tones will clash with my skintone), but they would look beautiful on others. Glad this new line is getting good scores.

These just look like they are lovely to wear! I’ll agree with (just about) everyone else and say that I would prefer the traditional bullet shape, but I think I will have to pick one up anway. It does seem like there isn’t a lot of variation in the shade range though, so it is unlikely that I would purchase more than one (leaning towards Rosewood at the moment).

I’m disappointed by how warm Heather and Rosewood are. Those are the only two I had any hopes for working for my cool toned complexion from their initial description. I know this collection is meant to be made up of nude/natural shades, but not everyone’s natural lip color is peach or brown based.

They look really nice. I still don’t buy the “hand cut” aspect though. I mean I know what their rationale is, I just don’t think it’s anything beyond a weird sales tactic.

These look like they feel nice. Your lips look happy! I know that sounds silly. But, really, compared to the photos with the ultra matte liquid lipsticks, they look much smoother. These so far seem so close in shades that one would be sufficient. So far, Pacan Butter is my favorite. I have been wanting Nars Barbara too for quite some time and they do look alike, so that may be a battle for me. I hope my Sephora actually winds up carrying these. They have an end-cap of Bite products! It’s pretty sad.

I’m all for coloring outside the lines, but not on my face! That cut bullet and and my lips is just a disaster waiting to happen. I’ll end up looking like a child getting into her mum’s makeup for the first time…or a drunk chick trying to reapply her lipstick >< Not exactly a desirable effect. Heather is quite a nice color though, I've been super into MLBB lip colors lately and I've been on the hunt for the perfect one.

Hmmm these two look very similar. I was almost afraid to look for fear I would have go order two more but I’m goid on these colors. Can’t wait to see the others.

All the shades you’ve shown look really lovely, but with the blunt cut it’s not worth it. The whole branding of this product just confuses the heck out of me. Why on earth it should matter if it’s cut off by a machine or cut off by hand I can’t work out, and aren’t they basically shoving it in our face that we’re getting less product. “This used to be a full lipstick, but we cut off the top half.” It sounds like something an angry teenage would do to your makeup to get back at you for grounding them. And are they saying that when we buy the Luminous Creme Lipsticks in the standard bullet that those have some kind of gross waxy coating on them that ought to be removed?

Christine Avatar

The lipstick itself is the same size as Bite’s other products–0.15 oz., which is actually surprisingly large for a high-end brand, as most lipsticks are 0.10 to 0.12 oz. The price is $4 more than their Luminous Creme, but the packaging on the Butter Cream ones is heftier (don’t think there was anything wrong with their Luminous Creme packaging, so the change and price increase weren’t necessary).

I love the texture, pigmentation and ingredients of all of the Bite lip products I’ve tried so far. Not one has let me down, which is really saying a lot. I’ll definitely be buying more this year, probably including at least one of these particular shades.

I’m interested in Heather, but it looks different from “dusty rose” colors I own – Nars Dolce Vita Lip Pencil, Laura Mercier Duchess Rose Lipstick, Givenchy Brun Createur (103) Le Rouge Lipstick. They are more rosy-pink/red. And Heather is more orange-brown and lacks the “rosy pink” right?
