Bite Beauty Caramel Butter Cream Lipstick
Bite Beauty Caramel Butter Cream Lipstick ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as a “fleshy nude.” It’s a muted, medium peach with a hint of beige and brown. The color had warmer undertones with a luminous sheen. It had mostly opaque color payoff, but the texture had a bit more slip than some of the other shades in the range, which led to a slightly streaky application. On me, this shade stayed on well for four hours and was nicely hydrating. MAC Soft Pout (P, $23.00) is lighter. Bite Beauty Amaretto (P, $24.00) is lighter, more matte. Charlotte Tilbury Hepburn Honey (P, $32.00) is warmer. Givenchy Beige Caraco (107) (P, $36.00) is lighter. Givenchy Beige Mousseline (101) (P, $36.00) is lighter. Urban Decay Naked 2 (P, $22.00) is lighter. Edward Bess Forbidden Flower (P, $32.00) is warmer. NARS Isola Bella (P, $25.00) is brighter, more matte. MAC Posh Tone (P, $22.00) is similar. MAC Delectable (LE, $16.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Bite Beauty Cream Butter Cream Lipstick ($28.00 for 0.15 oz.) is described as an “almond nude.” It’s a muted, medium yellowed beige with warm undertones and a soft shine. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied with some streaks and had a tendency to pull into lip lines over time. This was one of my least favorites due to its performance. It lasted for three and a half hours, but it was nicely hydrating. MAC Soft Pout (P, $23.00) is similar. Bite Beauty Amaretto (P, $24.00) is more matte, pinker. Charlotte Tilbury Hepburn Honey (P, $32.00) is brighter. Givenchy Beige Caraco (107) (P, $36.00) is brighter. Too Faced Melted Nude (P, $21.00) is more matte, lighter. Maybelline Truffle Tease (930) (P, $7.49) is similar. MAC Sensual Sparks (LE, $16.00) is similar. Givenchy Beige Mousseline (101) (P, $36.00) is pinker. Marc Jacobs Beauty Severine (112) (P, $30.00) is similar. Urban Decay Naked 2 (P, $22.00) is similar. NARS Biscayne Park (P, $25.00) is more matte. MAC Posh Tone (P, $22.00) is darker. MAC Delectable (LE, $16.00) is more matte, darker. MAC Wholesome (LE, $16.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Does the lipstick come witha flat top like that? The colors here are beautiful on you. I love the shade “Cava” but i find this brand melts easily. Probably because of the food grade oils and waxes. cheers!
Yes, it comes as flat!
Well, me thinks I need Caramel in my life! Probably a good nude for me, as my skintone is more olive and darker than yours. Thing is, I am also lemming and loving MAC Ultimate lipstick in Marque…love them both!
They’re both nice shades!
Not my colors, too much beige and peach, will give me zombie lips. But I love the eye look you did! Your eyes look so fresh and bright, like you slept 10 hours, and goes well with the lip colors.
Aw, thanks Katherine!
I couldn’t wear either shades!
Boo!! I hope they’ll do cooler-toned shades in the future.
The peachiness of the shade Caramel looks so beautiful with your complexion.
Thank you, Wendy!
I don’t care for how these two colors apply. Cream looks really bad.
They could apply better!
Cream looks like the perfect nude! I really like the color
Awesome! Hope you can try it, Fancie.
I don’t think I’ll like the hand cut form.. but Cream looks gorgeous on you and your eye makeup always complements your lip colors so well.
Thank you, Brenda!
I’ve got Moka coming in the mail and since I bought it somewhat impulsively based on the colours on the Sephora website, I’m waiting with bated breath for swatches! The colours have all looked so lush and rich so far.
Hope you get yours soon, Cayley!
Caramel is so pretty on you, and I love the eye look you did – so striking! 😀 These are both a little on the warm side for me, though 😉
Thank you, Sylirael!
Christine you touched my Achilles heel with this post. This is one of my go to nude shades – I have 8 of the dupes (gasp!), so I’ll admire from afar. My faves of the listed dupes are Naked 2, Mac Posh Tone and the Nars shade. The Marc Jacobs Severine is a beautiful nude shade for WOC but it slides over the lips. I find that the Givenchy shades have lots of slip too, but they are beautiful. One fave that’s not listed is Mac’s Restrained. I love that lipstick although it’s LE. Maybelline’s Truffle Tease is an excellent drugstore dupe.
I was SOOOO excited that they actually described these as fleshy nudes and they weren’t nearly-white-beige. These types of shades tend to look so good on WOC, so thank you for confirming!! 🙂
OMGEEEE! Your eye makeup!❤ Caramel looks beautiful! But it’s too fleshy flesh? I like my nudes with lots of pink on it, but these 2 look lovely on you, Christine! 🙂
Aw, thanks, Chellie!!
I have both of these. They feel rich and creamy but they don’t bleed or feather. I didn’t notice any of the pulling upon application you mentioned. I do love these nudes. But, like you, I hope they come out with some cooler shades. The flat tip is a bit weird but doesn’t effect my application. Finally I must say that both of the shades look fab on you.
Glad you are liking them!
butter cream looks really pretty… but the flat-top can be slightly problematic in terms of application from bullet, no?
It’s not a problem for me; it’s different but I haven’t had any trouble using them. I think if you had thinner lips it could be more troublesome.
Caramel looks really nice on you! I could see myself wearing that shade. Cream not so much, it would probably look just a tad sickly on me.
Thank you! 🙂
I am really liking the looks of caramel! So pretty and it sounds soothing. I really need it now with this weather we are having..brutal on the lips! I do wish they would have added an SPF though!
It would be nice if more formulas had SPF!
