Best Products of the Week | Vol. 323
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I pulled out a Buxom self-assembled e/s palette to use (based on a dupe I saw here) – Dawn til Dusk on my outer corners and in crease, Rose Gold on the center of my lid (applied with a finger tip) and Champagne Buzz on the inner third (and the middle until I decided to put Rose Gold over it); UD Corrup to line; MAC Into the Pink blush and MAC Craving lipstick.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I don’t know that I had one
Any products you want to use next week?: MAC Tempting eyeshadow over UD Sin primer. I used to love that combination – the Sin primer was just what Tempting needed to look its best and I need to take that pairing for a spin soon.
That sounds like the kind of eyeshadow look that I would go for Mariella – love the combination of an olive green with rose gold and champagne shades.
And Mac’s Tempting eyeshadow is a beautiful brown that would work well with anything too.
I know that you’ve got CT’s The Rebel and it wouldn’t be difficult to get the same sort of look with that quad and any champagne type shadow you are certain to have. But it was seeing one of the Auric cream shadows that Christine showed a few days ago that got me to haul out the Buxom palette with Dawn til Dusk in it. Those Buxom shadows were wonderful and very affordable but they’re no longer available at Sephora here. I regret not getting a few more of them, though I did manage to snag all the ones I really wanted (3 palettes-ful!). As for Tempting, it’s a Lustre and those can be notoriously hard to work with but using Sin Primer Potion under it makes a world of difference.

What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I liked the orange and pink look I did using ColourPop Witching Hour palette and Shine by SD Indulge!
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Shine by SD Indulge!
Any products you want to use next week?: My new MBA Cosmetics shadows!
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I was pretty happy with my eye look that involved one of the cream shades from ND’s Glam and shades 2 & 3 from CT’s The Rebel the other day and I paired it with CP’s Foolish.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Hmm – a bit hard to say, but I did use a lot of the By Terry Bonjour Paris palette (still).
Any products you want to use next week?: Just depends on the weather, what I am wearing and my mood for the day.
You know, it’s almost entirely because of you that I bought The Rebel (well, your high praise and knowing how much we both like the same sorts of eyeshadows). It helped that it was finally available in-store but I don’t know that I’d even have looked at it (the CT display at my local Sephora manages to make all the quads look pretty much the same). It’s been such a good purchase!
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green eyes, warm brown hair.
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Probably the berry look I did with my PMGL Celestial Divinity palette. Here’s the link if you want to check it out! https://www.instagram.com/p/CW8nFerJg9l/?utm_medium=copy_link
What was the hero product of the week for you?: I didn’t really have one; I was lucky if I got ready at all over the past week.
Any products you want to use next week?: There are a few shades from my Clionadh order that I haven’t used yet, so definitely those. Also I want to use my Viseart Bijouxette palette, Celestial Divinity, and Kaleidos Flower Punk palettes. And I have a couple palettes on the chopping block that I need to use again to see if I want to declutter or not.
