Best of Fenty Beauty Freestyle Cream Bronzers

Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer ($32.00 for 0.22 oz.) is a new, permanent cream-based formula that can be used as bronzer and contour with two shades (Amber and Toffee Tease) that were specifically listed as contours.
I think the brand could have released both contouring and bronzing formulas separately or else named it “Freestyle Cream Definer” or something like that, since there seemed to be customer confusion as to why a few shades ran more neutral or even cool-toned. For a range of bronzers, there seemed like a fair amount of room for more undertones and depths (like their powder bronzer range covers the spectrum better in contrast).
The formula was a winner, though, so long as a shade exists that either bronzes or contours as you want it to. It was effortlessly to apply and blend, out, and while I felt like they weren’t as sheer as marketed (they are described as “sheer, buildable”), I think they offered a comfortable level of coverage that made it easier to work with and was, in fact, extremely buildable and easy to layer as it dried down.

Been going back and forth in my mind; Macchiato or Teddy, Macchiato or Teddy….
Now that retail B&M’s may be about to have a slow, careful open here in AZ, I may go in person to see how each looks on the back of my arm, as that’s closest to my face depth. Only thing is, I’m still pretty nervous about going into a retail establishment.
I share your concern about going into a brick and mortar store during these times. I am blessed that the population here in Montana is so small that we have been able to control things fairly well. The fact that we have a Democratic Governor has been a tremendous help. The whole state is red otherwise. Anyway, if you decide to go make sure to wear your mask and take a lot of hand sanitizer with you. Turn your back to people who are stupid enough to come within 6 feet of you. Turning your back isn’t a slight but a safety precaution as if they cough it will mostly be on your back. The hardest thing for me is remembering what to do when I get home since you have to assume that everything you touched when you were out, has the virus on it. I would suggest taking your best shot with identifying the shade and have it mailed. The good news is that these appear to be very forgiving as they are shear enough that they have to be built a little and that would make shade a bit more forgiving, I think. I love Amber and have it sitting in my cart. I saw Tarababyz use it and it looked gorgeous on her. She also used Buda Bisquit as her bronzer and that looked lovely also.
Take care, Nancy. We need to be more careful than the younger people out there!!
It’s really not worth it. I’m sure Rihanna would agree.
