Benefit RSVP Creaseless Cream Shadow Review, Photos, Swatches
Benefit RSVP Creaseless Cream Shadow
Benefit RSVP Creaseless Cream Shadow ($20.00 for 0.16 oz.) is described as a “sparkling champagne.” It’s a warm, champagne beige with a frosted, metallic finish. Make Up For Ever #13 is darker. Urban Decay Sin is a touch pinker and is a powder product. MAC Darling Coquette is very similar but is a loose powder. Milani Champagne Toast is a bit warmer. Urban Decay Sin is slightly pink and more frosted.
It’s brightening without being too warm-toned; it’s not orange, tan, or red, but it is slightly warm-toned overall. The reflective finish helps make eyes look more awake when it is used as a wash of color. The more neutral coloring also enables it to work well as a universal base shade underneath other eyeshadows. It applied with full color coverage right off the bat, but you can use less or blend out what you’ve applied for sheer coverage, too. I like the versatility of the formula; it’s creamy enough to apply evenly and solidly, but it can be sheered out for lighter looks. RSVP wore for twelve hours on me without creasing, fading, or smudging (no primer). This was one of the best-performing shades from the range.

To die forrrr! I am absolutely LOVING these creaseless creme shadows! Now to choose which ones I want!
I have no idea why but my RSVP looks so much more purple. It’s a great formula, but it just is a bit too frosty for me.
I think Benefit’s RSVP is probably one of their best-sellers.
Looks like a nice enough cream eyeshadow but the color is not for me.
AHH! *-* Your blog post makes me want to buy it!! ♥ You sold me! 😀
Is it the same RSVP? Benefit did change only the packaging or also the formula?
Thanks a lot and sorry for my english
They only changed the packaging!
I have this in the old packaging. I wonder if the formula is the same or if they’ve changed it because I did used to have some creasing with these shadows until I took the time to READ the little insert which instructed a thin layer first, let it dry for 30 seconds or so and then go back to apply a heavier layer if you wish. I prefer this over MAC’s Bare Study just because I found it smoother and silkier to apply and Bare Study (at least mine) dried up awfully quickly.
Benefit said they didn’t change the formula, only the packaging!
Oh, and Holy Smokes looks amazing. Is this a new colour or a Sephora exclusive? I’ve never seen it before.
It’s new 🙂 Benefit will launch it next week.
NEED to finally try these Creaseless Cream Shadows–better late than never!! 😛
This is by fair my favorite cream eyeshadow of all time. It’s just such a great one-and-done shade, and it lasts all day.
I really love that it is called “Holy Smokes” because that is exactly what I thought when I saw that look. I am rarely quite so blown away. Will you do a review of the other shade?
I bought this after hearing such good things about it, but mine dried out soooooooo quickly! Did this happen to anyone else? I love the color but the product just dried out and started to pull away from the pot within a month.
I have the original formula of this and use it everyday. About a month ago I was running low and needed a new one and sephora didn’t have it on the site! I’m so relieved they were just reformulating/repackaging it.
Are these just new packaging and or formulation? I use RSVP and skinny dipping allllll the time. They last forever!
Nevermind you answered my question just new packaging. Phew! Their old packaging was fine but these are cute. I’ve never had issues with drying but my friend who owns a ton had what you describe happen in the comments. It dried up and pulled away. So odd. I would contact the company or return to sephora.
Did the formula change with the new packaging?
Just the packaging!
I have this and I’m actually pretty disappointed by it! Mine is very creamy, almost liquid-y, it smears very easily (too easily really) during application, it clings in places, and sort of bunches up on itself. Then when it dries, it dries crepe-y, and it creases as well! I’m really quite gutted! I wish my pot had been like the one here – I’d be over the moon if it were. I can only assume inconsistencies with batches.
There might be inconsistencies – because I expected all of the shades to be A++++ quality but I had a lot of variance.
