Benefit Icebreaker Ultra Plush Lipgloss ($16.00 for 0.50 fl oz.) is described as “clear,” and it is exactly that. There is no color or shimmer, just glossiness and shine once applied. It’s lightly hydrating, comfortable to wear, non-sticky, and glides on with a gel-like consistency. It has a sweet, fruity scent with a healthy shine that lasts about an hour and a half on me.  If you’re going for a clear gloss, the one thing I like to look out for are the larger-sized tubes of them, like this one, but it ultimately depends on how and how often you’re planning to use it.  I wish Icebreaker lasted longer, though.

I second the l’oreal one. It’s called le gloss and it’s in a squeeze tube. I think the formula is actually probably very similar as well. It has a gel-like consistency and is very non-sticky, but it doesn’t last very long. I would wait for it to go on sale though, it’s about $8.

If you’re not very smell-sensitive you might want to give the wnw lip gel a try. I really liked the formula, but it had a strong fruity smell.

It’s funny to see a clear lip gloss get 10/10 on pigmentation!

Of course it does, because it has exactly the amount of pigmentation it’s *supposed* to have, which is zero. It’s still funny to me.

I don’t see the point of paying high-end prices for clear gloss. I wear clear gloss, but it’s definitely a drugstore item to me.

Something to look for is a squirt tube like that one, instead of an applicator. Otherwise your clear balm will start to take on a pinkish hue that is the average of all of your lipsticks…

I feel like it might be worth it if it stayed on for ages. Otherwise, yeah, just go for something cheaper *and* perhaps also good for your lips.

I love the idea of a sqeeze tube, and I think it should be mandatory for all brands glosses (those wands are just so unsanitary, and I always use a separate applicator/spatula), but I can’t imagine paying $16 dollars for this…

Wow, there is NO WAY I would pay $16 for a clear lipgloss. I’m so happy I have a large collection of make up and there’s nothing I need to purchase for a good 6 to 12 months. I don’t mind paying for quality merchandise, but I feel we’re being gouged.
