Becca Lychee/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle Review, Photos, Swatches
Becca Lychee/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle
Becca Lychee/Opal Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle ($27.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “bubblegum pink infused with golden opal.” It’s a medium, peach-shimmered coral with warm undertones and a frosted, metallic sheen. bareMinerals The Magic Moment (LE, $26.00) is lighter, powder. NYX Menage a Trois (P, $15.00) is warmer, more orange, powder. NARS Orgasm (P, $29.00) is pinker, powder. MAC Stereo Rose (LE, $30.00) is less metallic, powder. The Shimmer Souffle formula is supposed to add a “pop of color” to the cheeks while also illuminating the skin. Lychee/Opal really seems to achieve the concept Becca was going for, as it yields noticeable color while illuminating the skin, but not in a way that emphasizes pores or looks too heavy. It manages to give skin a luminous sheen that doesn’t look oily or overly dewy. I wouldn’t say it softens the look of pores or skin imperfections, only that it doesn’t make them look more prominent. The texture is airy, whipped, spongy, and wet to the touch, and it blends easily on the skin whether applied over bare skin or over foundation (I used liquid). It has a sweet, fruity scent that I can detect in the jar but not really applied. This particular shade wore well for almost eight hours before it started to look faded.

I was wondering about this one; whether or not the pink colour would show up and whether or not I needed to add to the collection. I do see the pink shows, and oh m’gosh this is so feminine and pretty!
I like that this one has a bit more color to it!
This is my favorite color of the bunch! But I’d be afraid to look like a disco ball!
Awww! This one is pretty shimmery, though 🙁
These seem to all or mostly all have an orange/coral/peach undertone…though I haven’t seen them all. I thought this one would be the “pink” but I see what you mean about the coral. Am I wrong? Lovely, for those who like shimmer (I like shimmer).
Once you mix the pink part with the warmer shimmer, it gets coral-y! The range is very warm-toned in general, though. The Raspberry is the “coolest,” but I wouldn’t really say it’s cool-toned.
Thanks! That helps…and I agree…lucky for me I’m warm toned (for this collection)
Well thanks a lot! Now I have no idea which one I want 🙂 they are all so pretty. This “blush season” has gotten to be quite the blush addict. I never was before. How can I pass up one of these gorgeous shimmer souffles??
LOL! It is true – it is a bad year to be a blush addict!
Such a beautiful product!
It is!
These are totally making my heart flutter with excitement!! cannot wait!
Do you have a wish list going yet?
The true Lychee Becca Beach Tint is a bright candy yum yum pink. Just think what you could have achieved color-wise had these been bought separately! So disappointing.
Definitely depends on what you’re after!
Hm, I like it better in the pot than I do swatched.
Ooh, that’s a bummer!
This is so so pretty! 🙂
It is!
If only these weren’t so shimmery 🙁 The not-so-oily-skinned girl in me really wants to try out that souffle texture.
Aww! You might like the Beach Tints, then – just color, no shimmer!
What type of brush do you apply these with??
I use MAC’s 159!
how do you apply these? i usually use my fingers for cream blush, but i just wouldn’t know what to do with these because of the hybrid cream/powder formula? maybe i just need to see them for myself.
I used MAC’s 159 brush! I sometimes use fingers to blend product out, but I use a brush or metal spatula to get the product of the actual pan/jar (no double-dipping!).
I feel like these give way more shimmer that’s pretty disappointing, I loved the concept but to bad the pots didn’t pull more of the color they could have been really beautiful.
These seem to be equal part shimmer/equal part color, and since the the blush part is more of a tint, it ends up being heavier on the shimmer (which lightens as well).
Yay! I was waiting for a bit more of a pop of colour! 😀 This one is pretty – looks stunning on your skin!
Thank you, Sylirael!
I’m really curious about the concept of this product! It is reminiscent of the Maybelline mousse blushes!
I haven’t tried those before!
I was hoping this would be more cool-toned, but it really is lovely.
Aww!
I definitely think this line is more for highlighting than color. Especially on darker skin tones. Either way they are all so beautiful! I have yet to see a shade that I don’t like lol
The only one that I could see actually imparting color on deeper skin tones is the Papaya one!
Cuute!!!!
Glad you liked it, Elana!
Gorgeous! I may be getting this one – so hard to decide! I really like that the price seems pretty fair, as well.
I think the price is nice, too – plenty of product to last awhile (but not so much that it’ll go bad!)!
This looks like NARS Orgasm on steroids!
Haha!
This one looks absolutely gorgeous in the pan.. and it comes up so beautifully on cheeks.. wish it had been a little more pink but I quite liked its finish.. 🙂
The finish is lovely!
How would you apply these, like what brush would you use?
I used MAC’s 158!
