Becca Guava/Moonstone Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle Review, Photos, Swatches
Becca Guava/Moonstone Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle
Becca Guava/Moonstone Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle ($27.00 for 0.20 oz.) is described as a “coral infused with pale gold.” It’s a light-medium, golden bronze with warm, coppery undertones and a frosted sheen. Becca Fig/Opal (P, $27.00) is more muted, less warm-toned. Maybelline Nude Rebellion (201) (LE, $8.99) is more champagne. MAC Fairly Precious (LE, $30.00) is a smidgen lighter, powder. Becca Rose Gold (LE, $38.00) is a touch darker, powder. See comparison swatches / a href=”https://www.temptalia.com/makeup-dupe-list?id=165114″>view dupes.
The Shimmer Souffle formula is supposed to add a “pop of color” to the cheeks while also illuminating the skin. The texture is spongy, wet, and almost cool to the touch, while the color can be applied as a sheer wash of barely-there color and more obvious shimmer to semi-opaque color and shimmer. Fig/Opal was less shimmery compared to this one, as I felt like Guava/Moonstone did emphasize pores slightly. This shade would also be better on lighter skin tones than mine, as the color was barely visible on my medium complexion (it ends up being primarily a highlighter on my complexion). It’s easy to apply, blend, and wears seven and a half hours on me.

Omg, this absolutely STUNNING on you!
Thanks a lot, Shipra!
Now this one I love! both guava and moonstone are gorgeous so this little baby will be beautiful! 😀
Yayyy! 🙂
Your skin normally always looks flaaaawless, but here I can see your pores a bit. And that probably means that it would make my already enlarged and visible pores look like mooncraters…
If you are worried about pore size, definitely try a different shade!
o where can i buy this i am sooooo loving the color
Sephora!
Subtle and glowing!
Glad you liked it, Dani!
So gorgeous!! It gives you such a beautiful glow!
Thank you, Fancie!
It looks gorgeous in the jar. Almost reminds me a bit of a souffle version of Dim Infusion. But definitely reads very differently than Dim Infusion on the skin. More glitter than I’d typically wear but still very pretty. Feels very summery 🙂
They definitely resemble the Hourglass blushes in the pots, but like you said, different applied/in reality!
It looks lovely!
I like the color of it a lot!
This is the one I was most interested in! Will have to check it out!
Let me know what you think, Chelsea!
I actually think I like this one better on you then the fig!
Thanks, Erin!
Such a beautiful colour.
Agreed!
I think this look perfect on you.. me I thought it was might be a bit too warm and took a pass. This and fig/opal are a bit similar though.
Thank you! Yes, they’re surprisingly similar for a range with only six options!
Hm, this is pretty – it’s reminding me somehow of MAC’s Morning Frost Paint Pot… although I suspect it has a little more pink in it?
These souffles are promising, but I’m holding out for one with a bit more colour! (even being the vampire that I am, LOL)
Here’s Morning Frost – http://www.temptalia.com/mac-glitter-ice-paint-pots-reviews-photos-swatches
Which seems darker, more taupe-y!
I bought this product, in this color, immediately when it came out because it looked so beautiful but I have light skin and the product leaves no color on my cheeks. I might as well just use my highlighters or my becca moonstone liquid on my cheeks. So disappointed. Going to return 🙁 Thank you for your review Christine!
This one is definitely one of the lighter ones!
You look aglow, yet I still stand by saying that you’d look even better by separately applying to mixing the Beach Tint and Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25 (liquid/mouse-like cream) ! Colors are much more pronounced by your application, and the shimmer is up to you! Bonus for lips and eyes! The colors are beautiful. At least Becca is being paid attention to again. Coral/golden Christine… Looks like summer! 😉
Though you’re looking at a $66 price tag to do so! I think it really depends on what you’re looking for, whether that’s more color or more shimmer, as these seem to be equal parts of each, more or less.
But all Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflés cost you $125!
So… Not necessarily! 😀
– The Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25 comes in a huge size that you need only use a little of, thus it lasts forever! Just pick one color that suits you best! It will work with ALL Beach Tints! 🙂
– The Beach Tints also last for years, quite difficult to use all of it up though it seems tiny, so, what you invest in you’re getting more of, and can create your personal desired results while, here and there, picking up another color Beach Tint to play with! 🙂
– Divide the costs by usage, and you’re SAVING money on multiple use products at their best that will never run out unless you’re using them endlessly on clients for editorials, or you lose them!;) 😀
– Can’t knock it until tried!
– $135 versus $66 to find what suit you… (Swatches are everywhere so you need not even own all Beach Tints to be really happy!)
(soufflés do not come with the infinite execution of a neverending product, tried and true, so having no long run unfortunately de-values their worth)
– Shiny new toy to play with for a little while or quality you can count on? That depends on the consumer and the race to own things. I’m just trying to help! 🙂 <3
Sorry, all Beach Tint Soufflés cost you $135!!! (Not $125)
Like I said, just depends on what someone is looking for 🙂 I review new products, so for me, personally, I bought these to review for readers, not whether they’re useful to me as an individual. I’m not arguing that it isn’t a viable option, only that it’s still nearly triple the cost to get the two separately, which may or may not be the route someone wants to go. I think these are high quality products, so I don’t see why these are a bad way to go if someone likes the end result 🙂 If someone doesn’t like the way the Souffles look, then definitely consider other products, whether the individual components of these or another cream blush!
Aww.. Oh, no! 🙁 I SO DID NOT INTEND to discredit what you do! It’s the reason I LOVE being here, and I look forward to your opinions! 😀 I am so sorry if I came across cross against these, as in the original posting of these, prior to any reviews, I voiced my sheer excitement that these came out!! 😀 I SINCERELY think they are great and, like I had said, Becca has been my go-to brand & I highly adore the quality as well as encourage use of such brilliant products! Sephora, at one time long ago, carried Becca and then stopped. Then they picked up the exquisite brand again yet, not all people have caught on to that! So, like I had said, I think these are a lovely way to finally reintroduce Becca! And since I’ve only experienced superior quality with Becca, I was certain, am certain, as I said, that these will surely not disappoint! Yay!!! Later, after viewing reviews, perhaps I should have not communicated & discussed too much, but I saw your face, and being aware of what the individual colors are like, I could picture a totally different view on you! Like you didn’t expect The Fig soufflé to show as the color/shimmer it did… I merely only was trying to explain why… Then I became too set on wanting you, and others, to have what you expected, that I apologetically went overboard on YOUR blog.. Explaining how. Telling why. 🙂 I regret causing any misconception at all! And I LOVE BECCA AND YOU! I love it HERE! And I FULLY SUPPORT AND RECOMMEND THESE PRODUCTS AS WELL! Please excuse me, you have honestly & professionally reviewed these, and I think you’ve done a great job and still manage to look glowing! My deepest pardons for getting off track of the point! ( I’m not kissing bum, 😉 , this statement is purely from my heart. I respect what you’ve pointed out, and I’ll only rejoice within the comments & without the repeat that goes off-track, promised!) 😀
No worries! I didn’t take it that way at all 🙂 I totally agree with you – if someone wants more color and less shimmer, then they should definitely look into the tints alone! Also, if someone actually wants the shades to be cool-toned, then the Beach Tints alone are going to work better since the shimmer portion runs warmer and warms up the “blush” portion in the pot. Maybe these will be a great introduction to the brand and those who try and enjoy may also check out other shades/products in the range. We are on the same page, I swear! 🙂
As, yay! I’m so happy! Thank you for letting me know! I feel relieved. 😀 (Pearl gives a cool shimmer 😉 ) You rock, Christine! I’m touched by your positivity, as always. <3 xo!! 😀
I wonder why they didn’t include /Pearl in at least one of the Souffles. They used Opal quite a bit, but maybe Raspberry could have been nice with Pearl?
Christine, that was my first instinctual confusion & query! 😀 perhaps they were choosing to make a more summery golden/bronze approach, though the Pearl is just as fresh, ( I agree your suggested combo would be ideal), and launching these at this spring time was intended to gain the buyers they deserve! I meant “Aww,” up there in a previous post, not “As,” lol. 😀 What I keep thinking/hoping is that this is the just the beginning of new products to be released by Becca! 😀 <3
I just think if you’re going to release a world of six (which is a good amount, but it’s not so vast that you should have overlap), I’m surprised to see as many end up more similar than not, and to have even one that really runs cool seems like an oversight!
Oh, why didn’t they make a Dragonfruit one? That’s so pretty! 😀
Agreed.
Oh, this looks really good! Also, can you remember what you are wearing on your lips? The shade is gorgeus!
Here you go!
THE MAKEUP LOOK
On face: Guerlain Parure de Lumiere Foundation, Guerlain Les Voilettes Loose Powder. On lips: Hourglass Ballet Extreme Sheen Lipgloss.
After your first review on the other shade, I went ahead and ordered the Raspberry/Opal shade lol. Can’t wait to see your review on it, and hope that I like it. These look very gorgeous on you as well, Christine! 🙂
Fingers crossed you love the one you bought, JJ!
Did anyone else notice that these have different scents to match their description colors? I bought Watermelon & Guava. Watermelon smells like watermelon & Guava smells like Guava. I really like these & will be wearing them a ton this summer, I live on the beach, so these are perfect for my day to day makeup routine. I spend alot of time with my kids outside, at the beach & pool, and we have really humid weather here on the coast, & I feel these are great for that.
My nose isn’t good enough to really detect the individual scents (like I don’t REALLY know if I could pick out guava, since I’m not sure I’ve had it more than once or twice in my life), but they do have a sweet, fruity scent to me!
How did you apply this? Brush, if so what kind? Fingers?
I used MAC’s 159!
This is gorgeous! I think this shade would look the most natural on me since I’m fair, but I do typically prefer a bolder blush.
I think it would be nice on you as a more natural shade!
