Beautiful Beginnings with Burberry

Beautiful Beginnings with Burberry

What was the first Burberry product you ever tried?  Did it pave way for a real romance or did it put you off the brand entirely?  What was the first Burberry product you purchased?  Did you love it? Hate it? Still own it?

my answer: Burberry Beauty only debuted a little while ago, which makes it easier on my memory 🙂  The very first product I reviewed was Trench eyeshadow, which is my go-to brow highlighter.  It’s mostly matte, but it just matches my skin tone perfectly.  It’s soft, silky, and incredibly blendable.  The next two products I tried were both blushes, which are soft and lovely if you prefer a softer, more matte finish to your cheek color.  I remember being pleasantly surprised by the roll out of the beauty arm of the brand–they didn’t phone it in, and it was well-done.  Everything fit the brand to a T.

Burberry’s eyeshadows are my favourite now!At first I bought Midnight Brown and fell in love with it’s texture, finish and long-wearing formula! Now I also have Almond, Chestnut, Gold Trench and my new love – Pale Barley! It’s a perfect color for everyday nude make-up. I use it with black mascara (also Burberry – good product with high quality, but not the best for me) and bronzing powder on my face)
I also tried some lipsticks, but they smell very strong for me. I’m very upset, because colors are beautiful and very suitable for me.
I think that Burberry Cosmetics have good quality and good for everyday nude or even no make-up look. If you want look like you, but better)
I exactly want to buy some more eyeshadows and try bronzing powder and may be blush, but not sure)

My first Burberry product was cameo blush. It’s so gorgeous and natural looking. They were having a special event at Nordstrom that day and I got a full face of makeup done. I now use their powder compact foundation every day! It’s perfect for my very fair skin and looks natural. I also use their midnight blonde mascara, because the color is more natural looking but still dramatic. I will keep adding more products in the future for sure!

My first two Burberry products were Trench eyeshadow, and Cameo Pink lipstick. I love them both! Trench is also my go-to highlighter, and Cameo Pink is my all time favorite coral lipstick. The texture of both are beautiful, and the lipstick is so moisturizing.

My very first Burberry Beauty product was the No. 7 Earthy Light Glow Natural Blush. The texture is lovely, and the nude color suits my skin perfectly. I love how the packaging has the signature Burberry check. Everything about the blush feels luxurious and high-end. The other colors in their blush range also look beautiful, so I am definitely interested in trying more.

Tangerine Blush and Tea Rose lipstick. Tangerine is just phenomenal and I use it the whole time. Tea Rose is just pretty. Looks very natural and brightens up my whole face.

Love at first sight! After months of searching for a light foundation that’s suitable for aging combination skin, lasts the whole day through, and leaves me glowing but not shiny, I found Burberry’s luminous fluid foundation. To my shock, their second-palest shade was suitable for my very fair skin – and had neutral undertones, rather than the pink that’s so common amongst light-hued foundations.

I love it. It’s light, refreshing, and with a touch of finishing powder it holds all day long – even on my very shiny nose. *g* And to my delight, it doesn’t settle into delicate under-eye skin, but blends nicely with concealer.

My second love was Burberry’s Rosewood lipstick – another neutral colour that brightens up my whole complexion. It’s semi-moisturising, and the finish has just enough shine to look youthful while retaining elegance.

I can’t wait to try their blushes. Your reviews have me very tempted!

I haven’t tried Burberry make up line yet, although some reviews and swatches I saw online are grabbing my attention.Bad thing is that the only store that carries the MU line is in a galaxy far,far away in my city.
Actually I don’t find myself showing much interest for the luxury cosmetic lines that seem to keep coming out because my favourite high end brands(Guerlain,Chanel etc) are already filling my appetite.Burberry, however seems like a perfect fit for my make up preferences with their color range and beautiful packacing.I really want the Cameo blush and lipgloss along with a bronzer and maybe a lipstick for that pretty design:)

My first product and only product by Burberry is the foundation, Fluid Sheer.

The coverage is medium to full and reminds me of the old formulation of the Hourglass Veil Fluid Makeup. It gives a semi-matte finish that holds up that decently against oil breakthrough, even without powder; I got about 4 hours of good wear-time before having to blot. I’m very oily, so it may work for others. Overall, it’s a beautiful foundation, but certainly not my favorite. It also has a fragrance that’s similar to the Dior Sculpt foundation, though not as potent.

Give it a try! I got mine at Nordstrom.

My first Burberry product was a lip gloss…I forgot exactly which one since I got several in a short period of time. I was so impressed that I also got into their eyeshadows (Rosewood and Pale Barley), lipstick (Feather Pink) and blushes (Cameo and Blossom).

I have been a Burberry girl since HS. Being a HS girl that “had to have” their bags and stuff was difficult for someone making $8 an hour, only 20 hours a week, but somehow I’d find a way to get the $$$ to buy those $800 bags. But now that I’m in my early 20’s I have a lot more financial freedoms. During HS I did purchase a 1.7oz bottle of Brit, but my first real beauty purchase came with their lipsticks last summer. I bought one as a treat and to test the brand, I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT! During HS I went crazy with the UD lipsticks, the ones with the dagger twist up, and bought 10 of them. I currently have a deal with myself, for every two UD lipsticks I use up I can buy 1 Burberry lipstick. So far I’m down to 6 UD’s. Still working on it.

Hey Christine,

First off, I wanted to tell you that , these days, no matter what you wear, you seem to make me want to buy everything. You are glowing !

The first things I tried out with Burberry were the lip covers in Rosewood and Blush, cannot tell you how much I love them. Funnily enough, I am wearing the rosewood lipstick as I type this.

I want to buy their eyeshadows , especially tempted by midnight brown, prsewood, gold trench and antique rose.

Ahhh… the first Burberry Beauty product I tried was the luminous liquid foundation. It began a love affair with the beauty line and now I have to try every single product and shade. I am in love with every product EXCEPT the concealer… strangely. Fortunately for me I have been obsessed with Burberry since I was a child. And I don’t mean just the nova check print, but the Prorsum fashion label; apparel, shoes and bags! I love how I can do my makeup fairly quickly without a ton of precision and it ALWAYS comes out FLAWLESS. I always get compliments on my skin now and for the amount of product and quality the product is worth every dollar. Their mascara is all I will wear, their shadows are superb, blushes are also perfect, and their brushes are beautiful. I own about 20 lipsticks and 12 glosses and I love the range of wearable colors. For a time, Burberry Beauty was all I wore but now I’ve found ways to incorporate Tom Ford, Chanel, Mac and Laura Mercier. Please write more reviews on Burberry! And show us some looks for tanner, more exotic looking women! It would make me SO happy… PLEASE!!!

My first Burberry purchase were a couple of perfumes around 10 years ago +/-. My first cosmetic purchase was around 2 years ago from Nordstrom. Burberry cosmetics is not carried locally 🙁 I had never seen Burberry cosmetics and I was very interested to try a few items. I decided on a face powder and a neutral pink gloss. I’m very happy with my purchases and hope to try more.

My love for burberry started the moment I tried on a trench coat while looking at the nylon tote they make. Unfortuantly I cant bare to shell out that much on clothing/bags at once (that trench will be mine one day). So I figured Id try the Trench eyeshadow Christine uses so often. At first, I was impressed with the packaging but thought the shadow looked too light and boring and I wanted to return it. I then paired it with a crease color and wow it looks awesome. I love to use that all over the lid with black liner on top. Perfect and Clean. Once I use up more of my brown shadows I want to purchase the Midnight Brown color.

Burberry Body Oil and the fragrance are the only thing from Burberry I have tried and own. There’s no place here that sells the Burberry Beauty. I tend not to purchase from brands where I’m not able to try any of the products in person. If I’m not able to test and get a feel for the brand then I’m not purchasing. I’m not going to go out of my way to order products just to try them and then have to go out of my way again if they need to be returned. Too much work for makeup, lol.

I like Burberry Beauty. High end brand with a high end quality, I would say.
My first Burberry products were the sheer foundation and the makeup base. They’re not my ultimate fave but both are great products, especially the foundation. I use trench no.2 with a pink undertone, and it is a little too pink on my skin but trench no.1 with a yellow undertone was a bit dark, so I stuck to no.2. It blends really well, the creamy-but-still-light texture is lovely, and though they call it ‘sheer foundation,’ the coverage is almost medium to full, which is another plus.
I bought my mom their Tangerine blush, and she loves it, wears it everyday. The brush that comes with the blush seems to be good quality, too.
All in all they make great products and I would love to try more out!

The first few products I tried were their liquid and powder foundation, an eyeshadow!
I was most impressed by the powder foundation, very natural looking and non drying which also photographs very well as a bonus!
I’ve hit pan on it already!

I like Burberry eye shadows, but I’m especially fond of the Sheer Luminous Fluid Foundation. It has a moderately strong, but pleasant scent that dissipates quickly. Though it is sheer, the foundation is buildable, and nicely covered slightly dark areas, including under my eyes, in lieu of a concealer. It dried down quickly into a natural skin-like finish neither dewy, nor matte. It lasted the eight hours that I wore it, without any signs of fading. It darkened a shade after about 30 minutes of wear, so if possible, I would get a couple of samples to try before purchasing. The foundation is supposed to be hydrating, but I didn’t find it especially so – maybe that’s because I have oily skin. I wouldn’t forgo a regular moisturizer.

I purchased the Rosewood lip cover and Russet blush over a year ago, and they are hands-down the most gorgeous, classy, and luxurious beauty products I own. I don’t have to try hard at all to get a pulled-together look as long as I have those in my makeup drawer. I definitely plan on trying more lip cover shades and branching out into Burberry’s other beauty products in the very near future!

What was the first Burberry product you ever tried? Last November I bought 2 products, an eye shadow and a lipstick, both in natural colors, because of the price.

Did it pave way for a real romance or did it put you off the brand entirely? Sadly Burberry is not available in shops at my hometown, so I have to wait until they open a counter here or until my next Berlin trip in May. The packaging is just elegant and classic, an eyecatcher in my opinion. I love using the products and I believe I will purchase more.

What was the first Burberry product you purchased? Like I said, Rosewood eyeshadow and English Rose lipstick.

Did you love it? Hate it? Still own it? Yes, I love the products, because I can use both to create an everyday office look. I just a little blush and mascara and I am ready to go. I still have the products and I am looking for more.

The first Burberry item I tried was one of the Lip Mist in “Copper”. I was blown away by the packaging, the scent, the color, the texture. Now I’ve been trying loads more of their products and i am LOVE 🙂

My first Burberry purchase was Lip Mist in ‘Copper’, Lip Glow in ‘Hibiscus’  ‘Nude Rose’ and the eye shaper in #11 …. yes I got 4 products the first time I visited the counter. The makeup artist was absolutely wonderful, she gave me two products for free as a special promotion. I was lucky enough to recieve a make over for free and she did a full face and gave very helpful pointers. I’m not entirely sold on the foundation because I have very dry skin, but i was VERY impressed with the blushes (esp Peony). It certainly did pave the way and I bought the ‘Fresh Glow’ soon after.
