On its face, I understand why some palettes make their highlight colors HUGE, but I don’t know that it’s seriously logical. Like… how much more highlight are we really using than lid and crease type colors?

I mean I guess it adds up since that would be highlight for every look with that palette, so I’m just being a grumbler, but I’d much rather have a bigger pan of the prettiest color, because I never hit pan on highlight shades!

I believe the idea is that if you’re consistently using different shades and (assuming) you use the same highlight shade, you’ll want more of the highlight shade because that’s what you would be reaching for the most.

You mean 500 Thread Count? I think it’s suppose to be an all-over base shade, not highlight shade, so that’s why it’s so big

According to Sephora’s description it’s just the pan size that’s large as all 7 shadows are the same weight. You’re getting the same amount of product in each shade.

Huge highlight shades are a huge gripe for me as a darker skinned lady. I have yellow undertones, so using something pink or white doesn’t suit me the best, and I actually have to use a lesser amount to make it workable. Besides that, they’re often just plain too light or worst case scenario, look ashy or chalky. I usually reach for my own highlight shade. It makes me feel a bit annoyed, but I’ve mostly gotten used to it…

I really like this, especially for the price. I could see this easily going for closer to $40 if they really wanted to jack up the price, so it’s nice to see it priced closer to what it’s really worth.

I really don’t get the whole huge highlight shade. I would probably see how this did as a face highlight if I got this palette. I would love to see a review on this.

As usual, BM palettes have very wear-able colors at reasonable prices, but we’ve seen too many neutrals from them. Glad to finally see a blue, but need some more color! How about more blues, purples, greens, grays?

I love Bare Minerals’ Ready shadows so much that I’m sure to want this. I need it like a hole in the head, though! Will you be reviewing this one, Christine?

For everyone wondering why the 500 Thread Count shade is so large, it’s not. The weight of the eyeshadow is exactly the same as ones in the smaller pans.

From Sephora:
– 7 x 0.17 oz Eye Shadows in Featuring 500 Thread Count (airy pink), Fuze (cinder smoke), Trench Coat (matte camel), Rowdy (heathered plum), Custom Made (pink quartz pearl), Starstruck (brushed metal), Nightfall (brilliant cobalt)

I am going to reserve any opinion on this until after the review and swatches. Mainly because these shades apper to be pretty common and therefore dupable. Doesn’t look like a bad palette for travel though!

I love Bare Minerals palettes, but I have 4 of 7 shades. The other 3 I believe I can dupe from other 8.0 palettes I already own. Fuze is a repromote as well, it was in the Fired Up face and eye palette from 2012 holiday collection, and in the Hot Spot duo offered in the Hot List kit. Starstruck and Nightfall look similar to shades in the Playlist 8.0 palette, while Treatcoat maybe similar to one in the Sexy Neutrals. I guess it’s good new for my wallet, I’ll skip this one just like the other one release within the last couple of months. Too many repeats lately.

I’m hoping for a review. I do have a feeling I have quite similar eyeshadows, if swatches prove me wrong I must say I quite like the look of this palette.

At first glance, I’m very interested in this. I’ve been on the lookout for a really versatile, small-ish pallet to keep in my bag for on-the-fly prettying up. If this reviews well, it just might be what I’ve been looking for!
