We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I honestly can’t think of any and that’s in large part because of the information from you, Christine, here on Temptalia!
….and I’ve got to say, Christine, that you really “took one for the team” by purchasing those Tom Ford quads (a pricey product, even when they’re good, which these weren’t….). A heart-felt “thank you” for doing what you do so that the rest of us can avoid spending on products that aren’t worth the money.
Right?? I was like, “How many more times will I do this before I call it??
The trouble is that so many HE brands are putting out rubbish that it’s hard to judge what is good or not anymore. Those TF quad were just awful and a waste of your money and time to review them.
I echo Mariella’s comments here about a big thankyou for doing what you do to save us money.
MAC Fleur Power blush – it turned out to be a bit of a dud for me. First of all, the lasting power was terrible – it would fade within an hour or two of application and secondly, there was very little product in the pan (for the price). Thirdly, the shade colour turned out to be a tad to pale for my complexion.
The last Pat McGrath mothership, the quality is not what it was. The special shades weren’t as special.
I regret paying 100.00 for the La Mer pressed powder compact. Biggest waste of money, EVER! I’ve purchased drug store compacts that do a MUCH better job!
Not that I can think of, but I’ve bought very little this year.
I’m usually able to avoid regrettable purchases due to your reviews and input from our little community. What was the issue with the TF quads?
They’ve just been so much more inconsistent in the last few collections!
I don’t think so. I’ve not bought much at all this year.
The Jacklyn glazed highlighters– I bought 2 of these greasy things! I bought 2 of The CT flawless lip blur, and I liked them until I tried the Lisa Eldredge Velveteen liquid lip– which I liked much better. Then, I tried a Lisa Eldredge Liquid Lurex eye shadow– and found that type of formula to not be my cup of tea!
Everything Charlotte Tilbury Including the Blusher, Lipstick, Hollywood Filter.
The Lip liner was an exception
Everything else had been disco’d from the kit
So many better formulas.
a~~
Echoing the others in thanking you Christine – I would have bought things I regretted if were not for this website!
Had a pretty good year due to actually paying attention to reviews and going on a low buy – the only regrets were a couple of concealers, tinted SPF moisturizer and a foundation products that didn’t match right (and I couldn’t return in my country – hard to foundation match when most products aren’t available for swatching in stores – the foundation matrix got me closer than previous attempts, but still some misses). Fortunately I have a friend who is a shade paler and cooler than I am, and a friend who is a shade darker and warmer. I was able to find good homes for all of the mis-matches as welcomed gifts, which is about the most you can expect from regret products.
The reformulated Dior Forever Skin Correct concealer and Rosy Glow blush in Berry. Both were holy grails before the reformulations and now are complete duds.
The Laura Mercier Real Flawless Pressed Powder.
Pretty much my only purchase this year and it was a dud. Doesn’t do anything for my skin. Back to my Givenchy loose powder.
I tried out a few CT Happikiss Pillowtalk lip balm “dupes” from tiktok as mine is nearly used up and have not loved any so far (Elf lip balm with the heart in the center and Burts Bee’s Gloss & Glow glossy balm. If anyone wants to recommend a formula/shade dupe, I’d be all ears!
My dry Bobbi Brown Telluride lipstick, which was fixed by adding some ColourPop So Juicy plumping gloss in Dress Code.
My skin coloring seems to be changing, so most of the duds I’ve purchased were mistakes in color, not formula.
I got the Pat McGrath Satin Allure lipstick in Veiled Rose, and the color is just completely different from all the swatches. I don’t live in an area where I was able to swatch it in person, so I really rely on online swatches from the manufacturer and from reviewers. This isn’t the first time one of her lipsticks has been the wrong color- years ago I bought a MatteTrance in Flesh 3 and instead of being that ruddy, dried-blood color it’s supposed to be, it was greige. And this Veiled Rose is a pretty deep mauve. It’s weird.
