Menagerie can be a bit powdery, but their pigmentation is fantastic and the shadows perform great. I don’t have Whalesong or Pastel Pup, but many of my friends do, and speak highly of them.

For pastel palettes, I recommend a look at Shroud Cosmetics Creepy Cute (all mattes) and Nomad Cosmetics Harajuku (shimmers and mattes).

For blue palettes, I’d recommend checking out ColourPop Blue Moon, Nomad Cosmetics Lake Como, and Ace Beaute Oceanic (powdery formula, but very pigmented and blends well).

Uh….probably not. I think I’ve got more than enough of EVERYTHING but that doesn’t stop me and my grabby little hands. I suppose the least bursting to the bring area in my collection would be brow products (I have maybe 8 dedicated brow products, not counting the eyeshadows that work well for me, but considering that I rarely even bother with my brows, the few that I have are more than enough.

Currently? Not so much with makeup. The only areas of makeup I tend to be lacking in are bronzers and eyeliner because I rarely use either, but I’m also not looking to change that. Not so long ago I was actively trying to expand on lipsticks because I always felt they made me look clownish so I always wore tinted lip balm. I’ve now developed an appreciation for lipstick and more pigmented and brightly colored options and am getting used to how they look on me.

I am however, getting more into skin care as I’m getting to an age where I think that’s more make or break for me and wishing I cared more earlier in my life. I also think I should maybe explore foundations more as I tend to find one thing and stick with it for years on end, perhaps missing options that may be more suited for me.

Looking to expand to more concealer options. I normally wear foundation but no concealer and tbh always feel concealer emphasizes my fine lines and wrinkles under my eyes making things worse as opposed to making things better. Feels odd as lots of people say they could forego foundation but never concealer. Currently have only Lancome Maquicomplet and the Dior touche éclat (not technically a concealer). Any recommendations anyone (for aging skin)?
Would love more blushes, but I feel I have a few options in pink, coral, and peach each, to the point where I do not see a difference on my face.
Would expand to anything truly pore refining (not using lots of primers as again I feel they don’t do a lot for me).
And def will continue to pick up eyeshadow palettes as I love them. But I have a very curated collection, also due to this site.

I like that new-ish Revlon Photoready concealer. Maybe read some reviews first, but it’s fairly cheap with tons of shades. I normally don’t wear a lot of drugstore makeup, but was stopping over for my must have CeraVe cleanser and picked it up. The reviews on the matching foundation are not so favorable though. I liked some MAC ones that are d/c. I used to never wear concealer until a few years ago. However, with the coverage I like, I can’t see skipping foundation for just concealer because to me my face looks unbalanced and raccoon-ish, half done if I just slapped high coverage concealer on and called it good.

I was looking to expand my blush selection but bought what I was missing when MJ had its sale a month or two ago. However it has become evident during the Pause that I don’t have the right hair products so I am working on that.

Ulta having a sale now and either in June or July they always have liter sale so I’d hang tight for any s&c cuz I always save tons. Not sure what hair type you have, but the Redken Chromatics (pink bottles) for color treated hair are sulfate free, gentle, and very moisturizing. Actually, can be too moisturizing at times (fine, color treated hair, oily ish scalp, tangles like crazy but live in desert) and was last summer but I moved and have a pool now so it’s perfect. Also, they have a ‘brunette’ shampoo too that I really like for refreshing my color

Not for now, I really enjoy my curated minimalist make-up collection. But once masks won’t be necessary, I will need to grow back my lipstick collection; nowadays I am just retiring everything that expires, but I don’t purchase color replacements yet,. it’s useless to have them just sit around.

Glossier liners if you haven’t looked already. I haven’t tried them, but they have some truly unique colors, and it seems they are all permanent. Linda Hallberg has some interesting ones. I check that site ~3 times a year, and bang, I hit a 50% flash sale. Totally lucked out. Good formula and some interesting colors, as well.

I love Urban Decan 24/7 glide-on liners! I think I have purchased 4 in the past 6 months!

Colourpop has very unusual shades but the pencil liners break so easily and the gel liners dry up fast. It’s such a shame!

*Indie brands. Indies are more likely than mainstream brands to have interesting shades and finishes, great quality, better prices, and more imaginative packaging. Plus, I’m supporting small businesses.

*Fragrance. I’ve always had a small fragrance collection, and I don’t want anything going rancid, but I have been slowly expanding, trying indie brands, and so on. I feel a little more happy and put together when I’m wearing a fragrance.

*To a small degree, skincare. As I get older, I’m running into more skin issues. I don’t want a complicated routine, but I just need more to take care of my skin.

A week or so ago, I would have said cream blush & bronzer, but I just did a huge Rituel de Fille haul, and purchased all but 2 of their cream pigments, plus 2 Fenty Beauty cream bronzers, and Huda Beauty Tantour… Ideally, I wouldn’t mind having more, but realistically, I’m going to have a hard enough time getting through what I already own… On top of my most recent buys, I also have quite a few others.

This lockdown, coupled with extra money (stimulus payment & tax refund), and way too much free time, I’ve been able to knock out my entire “wish list”, so unless something absolutely extraordinary comes along, I’m very content with what I have (although I do plan to nab the UD Naked Ultraviolet!).

I definitely don’t need more makeup :-/ I am trying to find a really good tinted moisturizer that’s affordable and has SFP, something I can wear around the house. I really like the Laura Mercier but trying to find something cheaper. Also I’ve expanded my sunscreen selection recently, trying to find more affordable options as an alternative to my expensive Dermalogica SPF50. My fave find so far is Epionce SPF50, it’s just as cosmetically elegant as the Dermalogica at half the price.

I have always gotten my nails professionally done. I decided to save money I will do them myself. I bought fake nails and rhinestones but I hope over the next year to expand my nail polish collection.

As far as makeup goes, I am getting married this year and while playing with makeup for my wedding, I realized I am such a bold gal that my nude shadow collection needs some additions! I don’t want to buy nude palettes because I do have a lot. I just need 2-5 individual shadows to complete my nude collection for now.
